Zimmerman Affidavit of Probable Cause

I just read the affidavit of probable cause.  Geesh, Louise!  It's like Deja Vu of the Duke Lacrosse fiasco.

I thought the prosecutor was to use all facts available and all witness accounts available in determining probable cause.  That doesn't appear to have been done in this case.

The affidavit states that Zimmerman was "told not to follow Martin"...but we all have heard the 911 call and know that to be contrary to what is heard in the 911 call.

The affidavit states that he went to a nearby 7-11 store to get skittles and tea, yet his father said  he (the father) was gone until 11:00 and had no idea where Trayvon was.

The affidavit makes no mention whatsoever of any violence perpetrated against Zimmerman...no mention of wounds or witness accounts that told of Zimmerman being beaten by Martin.

It seems to me that the prosecutor used only the witness accounts of Trayvon's mother (it mentions her claim that it is her son yelling...and appears to totally disregard Zimmerman's family claiming it was Zimmerman's voice yelling), Martin's girlfriend, and the witness' whose statements did not include Martin on top of Zimmerman beating him.

Do we have a female Nifong in the making here?  Or am I completely misunderstanding the responsibilities of a prosecutor?

I'm with Dershowitz on this. The affidavit dosen't support the charge at all.  She either has an in with the judge or she wanted to him to toss it.

This is all posturing with the left trying to obtain maximum political gain in an election year.

The best-case scenario for the leftist meme is to leave the wound open. A conviction of Zimmerman would not go over well with the Hispanics, white or otherwise. Plus a full blown trial with discovery will introduce evidence that may blow holes in their carefully crafted tall tale.

OTOH, if the case is a monstrosity and is tossed out, the race baiters get to keep it going, pointing fingers at whitey's unjust system. The prosecutor can also campaign with the slogan, "I am fighting for you but you need to reelect me to get justice for Trayvon." The Mom gets to settle a lawsuit and the Justice Dept. can play the civil rights card. Win-win for the left with the only downside being a full blown race war. Most likely they have a contingency plan for this with perhaps even candidate Obama swooping down to restore peace and a healing balm if things get really out of hand.

Agreed.  The holes are already there.  Most people with two or more brain cells can see them, and will (I hope) decide accordingly.

At the same time, what FL says in the post immediately above mine is correct, as well.  Obama needs the "white guilt" vote.

Why are they stalling. Is there a Federal Civil Rights investigation going on behind the scenes and they just wanted him locked up. Very True Bondai, makes me nervous when those two shut their mouth.   

They may be planing to use this to set everyone at each others throats and that will take allot of planning behind the curtain.

White, Black and Latino Conservatives + the NRA -----against the White,Black, Latino Liberals that want stronger gun laws.

Long lost in this will be the fact that this one man should Never had been allowed to even own a gun much less given a CCW license.  One fruit cake who broke the rules by being armed at his volunteer job.  One Idiot who had been to the meetings and instructed on the do's and don't of his duty's. Just ONE man that broke all the rules and disregarded the POLICE instructions to back down.   

Now for some reason the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES has stuck his nose in this and made this a national problem.

GGGGGGGGGGGEESH, why is Obama silent over the 11 year old little girl being gang raped by men and boys that could have been his sons ????    Why is he silent about the white tourest being set upon by his could of been sons and the Chief of Police claims this was just a drunken brawl and NOT a hate crime ???

Very selective things OBAMA finds to interfear with, does he really give a rats ass about any of this when he cannot begin to understand Foreign relations or what his Job is in the first place???


Far as I can figure out this is a made in the shade reason to disrupt American life for political gain, long as we keep infighting with each other we ignore the world problems, don't really have anything we can do personally about them leaves us feeling helpless.    However the problems that come up that are local that go international, we go haywire hoping we can fix them.   

One Loony Tune has killed a young man and it is done every day by some one some where, why is it that in a non election year this would have caused little notice except to the family and friends of the Victim. One has to ask why on earth but for political gain would Obama have compaired this one victim out of thousands of victims to the unborn sons he has never had ???

He really put his foot in his mouth by equating the victim to the same race and his.   Freudian slip ???

It's the "Stand your Ground" law in Florida that they're going after.  Basically states that if someone constitutes a threat to your person that you can use deadly force to protect yourself.  It was enacted to combat capital crimes committed in carjackings.  It's why they didn't arrest Zimmerman in the first place, and what the defense will ultimately use to acquit Zimmerman - we'll find out soon enough though.
