Merry Hoaxmas!!

after which a couple of photographs of the unindicted Karl Rove

This, like the other Fitzmas bonfires, is a rather large one.  Sample comments;

1. Merry Hoaxmorial Day to you, too!

I'm grilling the Hoaxed Steaks... and having some Cold Hoax Tea.

Would you like some?

7. Maddy, are you part of the "commie pinko fag" Leopold hating, Will Pitt bashing, Raw Story sneering. GOP operative, Troll sneaking member of the "Hey I think there's something screwy about this story.." Cult too?

You appear to be assisting the enemy, a friend of Rove and I KNOW that the picture has been posted to make fun of Leopold, which you'll deny anyway, which proves I am right.

The cymbals-clanging primitive of course is being ironic.

8. Why yes, I am.

I'm a Paid GOP Operative who infiltrated DU and posted 27,000 posts prior to this one moment of glory! It's been a long and arduous covert mission, but I succeeded!

I'm getting time-and-a-half on my paycheck this week--I pulled double shifts since Saturday! I'm going to buy a Hummer and then go shopping at Walmart with what's left.

Muahahahahaha!

How did you guess?!

You think YOU'Ve had it tough as a GOP undercover operative, I've had to hang out with people like Michael Moore, and get sued by Michael Savage, make hundreds of flash attack ads as cover, (even got a Hollywood Liberal award for some of my flash work, but they're easy to fool).. and boycotted Rush Limbaugh, costing him millions (it was monopoly money backstage)..

I even fooled MoveOn with my ARMY OF ONE ad which was shown 3000 times on the east coast during the primary, went on O'Reilly once and Scarborough twice.. and that's where I just about cracked, when Scarborough agreed with my ARMY OF ONE film supporting the troops, he got me so flustered I thought they were blowing my cover..

But the big bags of money are great aren't they? I'm going to fly up to the Tundra and blow holes in the Pipeline with Dick Cheney for a few days when this is all over - someone has to do it, he's a terrible shot, otherwise how could I spill millions of gallons of crude all over the caribou since it takes DAYS to shut off the Pipeline..

Them me and Jerry Falewell are gonna take one of those Sex Flights to Thailand to meet up with one of the Bush brothers.. Jeb's sending us a Brick of Pure Snow..

It's going to be party party party after this... now all I have to do is make a few more posts about how Leopold had a book out where he calls himself a drug addict, forger, admits to grand larceny, a whole bunch of stuff..

But the best part is, He's basically doing the JOB FOR ME! It don't get no better than that

32. Well, like Bush

40 years of snorting coke, dancing on tables drunk and naked and blowing up frogs all came BEFORE I had to do any real work..

And I got Jesus too, in a Tupperware container, to keep his Holy Soul FRESH - everyone on the team gets a piece of Jesus, and a cup of Elvis Sweat..

We've been promised more MoJo, but Bolton hasn't sent mine yet..

30. 24 business hours, or just 24 hours straight...and please define "business hours." I'm a little unclear on that.

13. I'm just one of those "wait and see" people.

Today, my hairdresser and I got into a religious/political discussion and something I said to her reminded me of my own values: When someone makes an outrageous claim, they must offer outrageous proof. Until then, the default position should be one of unbelief. It's not that I disbelieve the story so much as I require proof. I'm told proof is forthcoming this week and then, if it happens, I'll believe.

My mind belongs to me, not to Jason Leopold, Will Pitt, Truthout, Take Back the Media, Newsmax or anyone else.

For the record--the bonfires are kind of a jumble, not necessarily in chronological order--the ladysquawk primitive was initially on the Bostonian Drunkard bandwagon, and then immediately hopped off when it became apparent the Bostonian Drunkard had lied.

22. I'll be laughing from now until Rove gets indicted and Fitz announces it, then it's party time for both of us

One assumes the cymbals-clanging primitive, who hasn't been around on Skins's island for a while, is still laughing.

25. I'm not entirely sure what you geniuses are trying to say but I don't particularly think it's funny that we got fed a pile of crap, OR that Rove isn't getting indicted. Perhaps someone could explain what I am missing.

38. It's a play on words and how exactly do you KNOW for a fact that we've been fed a pile of crap at this point?

Or that Rove isn't getting indicted.

I think you're missing more than I can 'splain! Did you just show up yesterday?

39. No, I understand.

I'm just pissy that we're making light when we don't know if the indictment is real or fake. If the story was wrong, I'll be pissed. If it's right, I'm gonna throw stones at all the people making fun of Leopold and Pitt. I just don't agree with people talking shit when they don't actually know anything yet. Call me crazy.

54. Nah, I meant frickin geniuses.

Obviously everybody is so much smarter than I because I can't figure out where Fitzgerald was on Friday, and because I have never believed in Pitt or TO enough to be pissed when they were proven wrong on the first story. I don't trust any journalist enough to trust them on a story like this until I actually see a guy in handcuffs. Which means, to me, that I am clearly lacking some genius faculty that everybody else around here seems to have.

Not that I am missing it, fyi.

That means for your information, fyi.

Personally, I'm starting to wonder if his side was the original source for this story. What better way to discredit the left-wing blogs & alternative news sites?

We now know that a business hour does not equal a real life month. :fuelfire:
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Actually, my dear CC member, it's on a sliding scale, depending on the strength of the pot that a moonbat smokes, and the prevailing moon phase at the time. :p ;)  :cheersmate:
