La Nina was stronger this year and kept the northern jet stream from pushing down into the US.  We didn't get all the cold air from Canada that we normally see.  It was just a normal variation of typical weather.

It MUST be frigid in December. Tornadoes must only strike small pockets of white trash, and always in the same places. Hurricanes are permitted only every decade or so, and may not strike areas where more than 20% of the populace is black.

Any variation whatsoever from exact historical averages means that George W. Bush needs to be frogmarched to the Hague as a Climate Criminal.
