Everyone seems to think this incredibly stupid move on Socialist Steve's part is just a product of the big guy's lack of intelligence.
While no one can dispute that he's astonishingly dense, I'd suggest the possibility that this one isn't entirely his fault.
He has probably had access to low-level democrat party help, which up to now he's entirely ignored.
His hilarious website, his dismal Big Bear's Bar Blowout, his squandering of campaign funds far in advance of the election, his disastrous responses to the newspaper questionnaire were all clearly products of Socialist Steve's stunted intellect.
This support-the-cop-killer strategy seems different. I think it may have come straight from the democrat handbook.

The problem, which Steve is too simpleminded to see, is that successful local democrats are overwhelmingly ghetto race hustlers.
I've never set foot in Bellevue, but it sounds like a nice enough town.
It seems unlikely a campaign strategy that works in Southcentral L.A. or East St. Louis or downtown Memphis will be well-received in Bellevue.
And if Socialist Steve takes that job cleaning toilets for the Omaha Police Department, he'd better take that "Free Mumia" sticker off his car.
It would not look good in the employee parking lot.
