A Virginia elementary school teacher told her students that “Republicans are stupid” and “they don’t care about anyone but wealthy people and businesses.”

Kristin Martin said this to her 6th grade class as Republican voters were filing into the halls of Powell Elementary School in Fairfax County to vote on Super Tuesday.

“It all started when this disabled kid came in and named all the Republicans candidates for Super Tuesday,” one student told The Daily Caller. “She [Martin] said to him, ‘I don’t like them, I think that they are stupid.’”

If this bitch was teaching my child, I would be calling for her to be fired. School is not a place to brainwash kids, it is a place to teach kids. Teachers should keep their opinions to themselves!

She is what gives teachers bad reputations.  She is why people view teachers as lazy ass whiners.  She is why I send my kid to a private school.

I agree that elementary school teachers have no business discussing politics with children. High school is another story though. Thanks to an 11th grade Government teacher I realized that I was conservative. He had the classroom divided in half, with the desks facing each other. Students with a conservative point of view sat on one side with liberals on the other. We had some pretty good debates in that class...especially concerning FDR's New Deal. He also gave extra credit to students who volunteered to work on a campaign (it was an election year, and we got to choose the candidate and office). I really enjoyed that class.
When Harry Truman was President of the United States, he had a sign on his desk in the White House that said: "The buck stops here." If Barack Obama had a sign on his desk, it would say: "The buck stops with Bush." - Thomas Sowell

Did he inject his politics into the class? That's the problem.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Actually, I don't remember him doing so. He just lead the discussions/debates by asking questions and making sure we kept on topic. I have no idea what his politics were....

  • Out of 9 lives, I spent 7
Me: William Shakespeare didn't write his plays for the over-educated. He didn't write them for hard-working captains of industry. His plays were performed in the middle of the day. Who has time to see a play in the middle of the day? The unemployed. The drunks. The dregs. You know, democrats.

My bouncy.
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

However, William Shakespeare did charge MONEY for the filthy shiftless drunkards to see his plays.
