DETROIT, Mich. (WOOD) - An electronic road construction sign near Dearborn, Mich. displayed a racial slur early Monday morning, targeting a Florida teenager who was fatally shot in February.

The sign referenced Trayvon Martin who police said was killed by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in self-defense. It has yet been decided if Zimmerman will be charged in the shooting.

The Michigan Department of Transportation sign, which read "Trayvon a N*****," is located on Interstate 94 near Addison Street, west of downtown Detroit, WDIV reports.

Passersby noticed the hacked sign about 1 a.m. and called police who said they received numerous calls about the incident.

I'm convinced that racism is surging in this country. I attribute it a combination of having a black President- and let's face it, a lot of the opposition to him is the color of his skin, and yes I think that includes some republican members of Congress- and the right wing working assiduously to make racism more acceptable, we're in a really disturbing place in this country.

How have the right wing/republicans made racism more acceptable? By calling every incident of racism, no matter how vile, "the race card", by demonizing black Americans the way the Repuke candidates for President have.

The Freepers reacted to this story in a way that's beneath contempt- and I mention that because I don't think they're really some tiny minority. They may be more extreme and vile than your rank and file republican, but they are much more in line with the puke party and its platform than they were just 10 years ago.

Why is the author intentionally being deceptive?

The area where the defacing occurred is right in the heart of Mexican Village. Hispanics are the LARGEST group of people in that area. Gangs rule that deadly zone. Not too many outsiders.

And yet the article mentions Dearborn, the area with the largest muzzie population in the US.

I wonder what the authors agenda is?

If Eric "My People" Holder had not dropped the new black panther voter intimidation case, or not sent in thousands of guns that killed Mexicans and Americans, or if he had not gone after Hate Crime laws so hard and said whites can't be victims of Hate Crimes,...

That's true. Where I grew up, "yella" and "blue" were shunned (but every black man wanted a high yella woman). Half-whites were hated as much as whites.

That is one of the reasons I used to be against white/black couples.  The children weren't accepted by either race, but that has changed, more whites are accepting of light skinned mixed race children than the black community is.

All of you at DemonRatUnderground are racist. You're against all of the republican candidates. It must be because they are white. You racist bastards! Wait...you say you're not against them because of their skin color? You say you're against them because of their policies and political leanings? Join the club. I'm against 0 because of his policies and political leanings. So we're both against political candidates because of their policies and political leanings. Now tell me why I'm a racist and you're not.

On a similar note...
I have an uncle that has voted for every dem candidate for president since he reached voting age. He told me last week that he doesn't have any use for your lord and savior and has no intention of voting for him this time. Now let me tell you how racist he is. His best friend in high school was a black guy. They've been best friends for about 35 years now. When my grandfather died (my uncle's father) this black guy was the only person who wasn't family by blood or marriage that was allowed to sit with the family. The funeral director actually tried to direct him to a section that wasn't reserved for family until the family informed the funeral director that he was family and would sit with the family. Also, his son is dating a black girl who is welcomed into the house as family and is treated like family.

So, to recap, his best friend is a black guy that he considers family. His son is dating a black girl. But he's against your lord and savior so he must be racist.

Of course he doesn't post on a message board made up of lily-white members with delusions of grandeur who make arbitrary decisions of right and wrong based on political party and skin color so I guess that's a knock against him too.
