TRENDING: DNC chair says Republicans rooting for bad economy
Posted by
CNN's Kevin Liptak

“What's really bothersome to me is that it almost seems like my Republican colleagues in Congress and Mitt Romney are rooting for economic failure,” Wasserman Schultz told CNN chief political correspondent Candy Crowley. “I mean, they've been hyper focused on one job, Barack Obama's, for really the last two years. And we all need to be pulling together to focus on moving the economy forward for the middle class and for working families.”

She slammed GOP plans as focused only on “making sure millionaires and billionaires can continue to do even better.”

“That's a pretty huge contrast,” she said.

The DNC chairwoman also assailed her GOP rivals for efforts she said were meant to restrict women’s rights, saying policies that allow employers to deny health insurance coverage for contraception amounted to a stripping away of rights.

“The focus of the Republican Party on turning back the clock for women really is something that's unacceptable and shows how callous and insensitive they are towards women's priorities,” she said.

I will give her one thing, she sure knows the talking points of the left.
If the GOP was truly wanting a bad economy they would have voted for 0bama's budget.

They can't point to one thing that 0bama has done to make things better, they try to spin and say that his policies have lowered unemployment slightly when the reality is, we still have way too many people without jobs, some are just not being counted at the moment.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

The woman is as dumb as a stump and illustrates it every time she opens her mouth. She's a gift to the Republican party. I hope she keeps talking & talking & talking.

We are most definitely not. What we are trying to do is to stop the insanity that is 0bama's big government failures before it kills the economy for good. Stopping 0bama's economic missteps is rooting for the economy.

BTW are both of Debbie's parents in jail now or has one of them gotten out?

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Wouldn't a good economy mean the working class has more disposable income to feed to corporate consumerism?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

People don't care about who's rooting for what, you bimbo.  You want us to trot out the Dem leadership saying they wanted W to fail, from back in September 2001, just before 9-11?  What people care about are results, and Obama does not haz them.

How did the other guy hit his drive on the second playoff hole a hundred yards into the woods, and end up just off the edge of the fairway?

In my foursomes that's most often the result of a hand wedge.

But Tiger's the only one who gets that kind of help from galleries, or at least he used to.

I haven't a clue how the other guy (South African, IIRC) did that.  Probably helped by a dogleg right, and a tree or two.  Watson's shot almost required a safari to go find it.

Rooting for a bad ecomony?

We don't have to "root" for one, WE HAVE ONE!!!

You mean like when the NASDAQ lost nearly 50 percent of its value between March and October of 2000?  That "talking down"?

Or like the "speaking truth to power" when Kerry complained about the "worst economy since Hoover" part?

I think it's funny how all you guys injected Masters commentary into all the threads over the weekend.   :lmao:
It was stunning.  Congrats to Bubba!   :yahoo:

We don't have to root for it. Obama and the Dims have made it the "new norm".

I, for one, would LOVE the economy to pick back up. I'm working at a dang Waffle House making over 10.00 less per hour than I'm used to making. I'm tired of constantly scanning the help wanted ads and internet sites looking for anything.

I will tell y'all that I did have a phone interview today, and I have an interview tomorrow with another company...so maybe my luck is turning around.
