Saw A Horrifying Sight In Boulder Colorado Last Summer.

I saw a horrifying sight in Boulder last summer when I was on the Pearl Street Mall. I used to work in Boulder for the Colorado Job Service and worked a "day labor" operation at the homeless shelter. Ran it four years myself and supervised a county employee for six years. So I go up their occasionally for lunch because I still know a waitress who works at a local restaurant. I was there 1985 to 1995. BTW Reagan, Bush and the GOP killed the National Employment Service and gave it to the counties.

A lot of the homeless people in the area hang out at that mall during the day. And believe me you will see a lot of young homeless people not just old bums. As I and my wife walked out of the restaurant there was this homeless guy in a wheel chair begging. He looked like someone who you would see in the streets of a major India. I am sorry I did not have a camera. He had this ratty old wheel chair. His clothes were disheveled and dirty. His skin was sallow. His hair was clumped and oily. What was really appalling was that he his no legs just above the knee. His stumps were covered with DUCT TAPE. It was absolutely hideous.

We usually give homeless people that we see at intersections some food bars and some money. I don't remember if we we gave him anything or not because it was very busy right out outside of the restaurant.

There is a lot that most of us do not see in America but it does exist. And I was thinking that the GOP would be telling someone who needs medical attention. GET A JOB YOU SLACKER.

There are a millions of reasons to hate Republicans and not a single one to even tolerate them much less love them.

So let me get this straight...TMN remembers something from a year ago and decides to post about it because it reminds him that he hates the GOP. That might just be the very definition of mental illness. Anyway, you need a circle to have a circle jerk:

1. What the GOP is doing to individuals is appalling.

Reagan turned out onto the streets some of the most vulnerable people in this country and we may never recover from it. I don't know what he was thinking letting people so severely mentally ill that they needed to be institutionalized out on the street. I can't help but think he knew it was extremely cruel and did it anyway. The results have been horrific. I think he did it just to see how far people would let him go.

5. I hope you're right.

I get so tired of hearing how great he was. The arguments about Obama's debt now make me scream "where were you when Reagan was in office?!"

Somehow we went from a constipated old bastard's memory to inveighing against Ronald Reagan? Wow.

2. Republicans want that man to die....

... as he's just a drain on "their" resources.

Thanks for caring.

Um, Scoobie? TheMasticatingNutsack didn't say he did a damn thing other than shake his arthritic fist at the GOP. He doesn't care about that kid (who probably doesn't exist) than you do.

Get me, I'm TMN: "I sat on the toilet for an hour today, trying to move my bowels. I was reminded of the Iran-Contra affair, and I am now angry at the GOP."

Uh, the primitives are mixing things up again.

It was Jimmy Carter in the late 1970s who threw people out of mental institutions onto the streets.

Ronald Reagan in 1981 inherited the problem, and dealt best he could with it.

I'm tired of the primitives always confusing Carter with Reagan, and Reagan with Carter.

They were as unlike as night and day.

"Confusing" implies innocence of motive.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Shall we compare average unemployment rates between Bush and the Kenyan, DUmpmonkies?
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Whatsa matta, ya lost yer gubmint paid skate job because someone figured out it could be better for those concerned to let the locals handle it? Then, you weave a 20 year old bouncy in order to complain about the GOP?
