What is bad is that parents of disabled kids have to trust those Doctors and Teachers with their children when they are not there to observe what is going on.
Hard enough with a child with no problems that come home and tell of bulling by other students or teachers.
As I understand this it was a non disabled child that told the mother of the child that her son was being mistreated. So the mother placed a recording divice in her sons wheel chair. GOOD for Her, she paid attention to the class mate and investigated on her own.
When she listened to the audio divice she went to the school with it, and two special ED teachers took a paid vacation and reinstated a few weeks later. So The mother went to the press with the tape.
My question is where these two Teachers will be transferred to next.? What new school will they be working at???
Will they loose their teaching credentials in that state to work or will they be allowed to reinstate them in a year or so???
Something to think about, can their credentials be transferred from state to state being loyal members of the Teachers Union that is nation wide ????
Nothing New here, teachers that get their ass in trouble are routinely transferred about school districts.
HARD questions need to be asked here , was this child assaulted due to their teachers words about an action the child could not control??? Is this a Civil rights problem for the disabled ?
Face it this child who was disabled was forced to spend time among people that insulted him, demeaned him and had no way to speak back.His treatment was so bad a classmate had to go to the parent to complain.
Angry Yes, but I see no solution to the problem unless a guardian is on the scene at all times. This is imposable but the recorders and video cameras in the children's clothing or wheel chairs may stop some of the torture the kids cannot themselves tell of.
