So much for separation of church and state (SOCAS)
« on: March 29, 2012, 10:58:22 AM »
SOCAS is just another liberal term that is used to bludgeon others but the liberals exempt themselves whenever it is convenient. Kind of like a DNC campaign bundler getting a waiver from ObamaCare.

Remember, the crux of the SOCAS fiction states that it is wrong to force another person to live by a professed moral they may not agree with. In nobler terms: righteousness cannot be achieved by imposed legal sanction. In the profanity of liberalism the maxim funds its unction in: keep your laws out of my body/bedroom (but leave $9/month on the nightstand to cover birth control pills because my boyfriend is too cheap). Any law that is predicated upon the idea, "because morality says it is wrong" shouldn't even see the light of day, if we take liberals at their word. Never mind the fact that morality was exactly the rallying cry for abolition and prison reform in the 19th century.

If you're a Catholic and you believe life begins at conception not only do liberals demand you not exercise your first amendment rights with shout-downs and boycotts; it is only by constraint of the law they have yet to prevent you from voting. If they could they would criminalize you under the label of "hate speech" as in "you hate women" and your "war on women" is a violent assault. Lost in the conversation is the discussion of the violence of hyper-concentrated saline solutions and surgical implements inserted into the base of the skull to siphon cranial matter. No, you had better just shut the ****-up and pay for abortificients or risk going to jail. Your morality has no place in formulating the laws that govern you.

Liberal morality however...

Dark Visions Of "Freedom"

This morning in America's highest court, freedom seems to be less about the absence of constraint than about the absence of shared responsibility, community, or real concern for those who don't want anything so much as healthy children, or to be cared for when they are old. Until today, I couldn't really understand why this case was framed as a discussion of "liberty." This case isn't so much about freedom from government-mandated broccoli or gyms. It's about freedom from our obligations to one another, freedom from the modern world in which we live. It's about the freedom to ignore the injured, walk away from those in peril, to never pick up the phone or eat food that's been inspected.

The catholics and their protestant brethren have a book. That book can be read by any who care to pick one up. There are so many copies of this singular text no person can alter it without being instantly shown as a fraud. There may be debates about a given passage but other passages will affirm or reject any proposed doctrine. It's an objective standard. It's a tested standard.

What morality do the liberals bring? A godless, amorphous, ever-shifting morality of convenience. God gave 10 commandments to govern man and a Messiah when man failed even that simple task. Liberals have given us 160,000 laws and regulations and they're more miserable than ever. The church asks for 10% and it can shatter the Soviet empire simply by nominating a Polish pope. Liberals tax trillions of dollars on a grading scale that would take 90% if they were allowed and yet they cry about their impotence. But you're supposed to look past their 160,000 life strangling laws and their trillions of dollars squandered.

Just give them one more bite at the apple and they will show you they can be as gods themselves knowing good from evil.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Only in DUmmyland would an attempt by the Federal Government to control everything in our lives get equated to "the absence of shared responsibility, community, or real concern"

Anyone who REALLY values freedom knows that this is an attempt under the guise of "affordable healthcare" to control every facet of our lives.

It's Democrtic despotism.
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

We don't call the DUmbasses for nothing.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Religious charities are often the first to respond to disasters, and they don't care about the religion of those they help, yet DUmmies would deprive churches and their charities of everything if they could.

Often when there is no government agency left to help someone, they can still find help through a church or a religious charity.

It's about freedom from our obligations to one another, ...well, you DUmmies owe it to those of us who work or have worked to get off your ass and go to work. You have been free from that obligation for far to long.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Because, stripped of all the decorative Constitutional language they try to cover themselves with, they are just a bunch of GD Communists.  Worse, they think of themselves as some kind of idealistic Trotskyites (Though he was a ruthless enough POS in his own right), but if they ever have the reins of government firmly in their hands, the result will be just as despotic as the USSR under Stalin or China under Mao.

Well, those of us who try and stay informed are not surprised. They been plannin' this shit since Wilson was pres. It's those who have just been sailin', along not payin' attention who are flabbergasted this is happenin'!

Hopefully it's not too late to change course. If not, Annie, get yer gun, 'cause it ain't gonna be pretty!

First thing they will do is try and disarm us. They'll do that before they shitcan the First Amenment, all together. I predict they might get a fight before they can take our guns away. I doubt seriously the Armed Forces will go against their own people. The COPS on the other hand, in the Blue cities all across America, will be glad to comply!
