Draft Howard Dean to develop the “Democratic Health Insurance Plan” and offer it as a not-for-profit co-op health insurance plan alternative to private insurance. Cram it full of progressive goodies – well baby, preventative check-ups, etc – and market it to registered Democrats and businesses. That’s a pool of 55MM+ people. Let Indies join at a small surcharge and Republicans at, say, twice the premium offered to Democrats. I’m paying $1400/mo for private health ins and getting squat for that investment. I’d sure as hell would prefer to get more benefits with less aggravation and a reduced premium…

I suspect there might be some political benefits to the Democratic Party by offering this.

Oh, and it would drive a stake through the heart of for-greed private insurance companies. Now what will the Republicans do?


I have absolutely no problem with this as long as no government money goes into funding it. personally i do not think it will work and will go broke very quickly but go ahead try it and see

$1400 for insurance? WTF, ya buyin' it from 'Guido' or what? "Toots" is payin about $350 for both of us! Who the **** do you work for? I'd certainly look for a better employer!

Oh, that's right, yer 'prolly gettin' disability 'cause yer depressed or have psoriasis of the brain, right?

Ain't that the truth! I've yet to see a lib actually volunteer to pay for any gubmint program! They all want the benefits without havin' the expenses!

Much like all these asshats wantin' to be taxed more! No one is stoppin' them from donatin' more money to the treasury! They want everyone to do it, or they drop the subject like a handful warm dog shit!

With our plan you premium is  $3000/month, go before panels for coverage, but the illegal and the welfare recipients get everything for free.

That is a business model worse than Solyndra....and that ain't easy.

I don't know who you are.

What I will tell you is that I have made several attempts to engage the DUmbasses in conversation.

My angle has always been as a moderate since I didn't want to get tombstoned, I just wanted to try to understand where you folkes were coming from.

As it turned out, if I gave any indication I was right of left I was kicked. If I was just ridiculed, I can deal with that but that is not what happened. At the first indication that I wasn't toeing the line then I was gone.

Fact is that I am still there but I am very careful not to give any indication of my political inclination.

I have an agenda but you or yours won't find it as I intend to bend the conversation as far as skinner and his folkes will allow me to. I don't really understand why the DUmp is so scared of "disrupters" I never tried to degrade you folkes, I just tried to engage in a bit of meaningful conversation.

But the second I admitted to being an independent, or worse, right of center, I was a goner.

Democrats claim to be tolerant, I see no evidence of that.

You should take that back to the DUmp and try to argue that and see how long it takes you to get tombstoned. I mean just as an experiment. you can always use a mole just to find out.

We have to pay about $750 for our portion of health insurance, then again this is a start up.
