RULE NO>1


Never discuss your sex life with ANYONE but you partner.  Not your mother, sister, brother or your very best friend.

RULE NO>2

Life is full of odd shit, when your Best friend, Mom or Dad ,sister, cousin start popping in on you only when your Spouse is at home, stay alert.

Rule NO<3

Never take ANYTHING for granted.  Had a hubby with a best friend for 4-5 years. They sailed together, carroused about foreign ports together and when the boat was in for a short time this "friend" would show up at the house at all times of the day and night.   Seemed like I saw more of the "friend" then I did of my hubby.

All came to a screeching stop when Hubby started acting really odd, he just stopped seeing his friend and sulked about with out his "friend" being there day to day.     Rumor when about the boat that hubby's "friend" was after ME.

 All came out in time, the "Friend" was in love with my Hubby, had made a drunken pass at hubby and confessed his feelings for him.

I don't know who I felt sorrier for the "Friend" or Hubby.  Loss of true friendship, trust and the bonding of two men can be just as devastating as the loss of trust between a husband and wife.

Men build these bonds that woman cannot understand.   When a wife runs off with their best friend they will miss the woman but more so miss their" friend" even more.

My oldest Uncle dated a girl in high school. They broke up because he wasn't interested in her. My youngest Uncle eventually married her and had three children. Needless to say, the oldest Uncle is very glad he dodged that bullet. She was a severe alcoholic, dabbled in drugs, was completely inappropriate at family functions, and eventually cheated on the youngest Uncle after 15 years of marriage.

As a child, I never saw any issues between the two brothers, but that doesn't mean there weren't any. I'd also say that dating a friend's ex is wrong, no matter how much time passes.

When I was a freshman in college, my next-door neighbor's girlfriend and I seemed to hit it off.  She went to the other college in town.  Anyway, they broke up--and she leaned on me.  We wound up having sex twice.  The second time was three days before they got back together (there was a month in between the times they were going together).  After they got back together, she told me that the sex we had was good; it just was because she loved him that they got back together.  I lost track of them after that.  Oh well.

Somewhere in the  OLD Testament there is a rule that IIRC says that when a mans brother dies he is encouraged to marry the widow and care for her as his brother did.

 Now I do know if the very Orthodox still do this but there was a short story in the paper a couple of weeks ago that in parts of Israel some very Orthodox old farts were throwing rocks at the woman on the street that were showing too much leg.

Then who hasn't heard about Lots slutty daughters and what they did to the poor God fearing man after they got him drunk.

It's called yibbum, or levirate marriage. It protected the bloodline when a son died without an heir.

Deuteronomy 25:5 If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not be married abroad unto one not of his kin; her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of a husband's brother unto her. 6 And it shall be, that the first-born that she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother that is dead, that his name be not blotted out of Israel.

Genesis 38:8-10 tells the story of Onan, son of Judah. Onan's older brother Er died without an heir, so Judah commanded Onan to take his widow Tamar to wife. Onan did not want to lose the inheritance as the surviving heir, so he pulled out instead of impregnating Tamar (selfish for two reasons, if you think about it). At verse 10, "the thing which he did was evil in the sight of the LORD; and He slew him also."
