Usually cold weather months slow the murder rate, then warm weather brings out the streetcorner crowds and things pick up.

I was going to post something like this on one of the Trayvon threads.  Heck I didn't find that site I just pulled up the Chicago Tribune and saw all the murders, babies being shot, people being ran over just this weekend.  Where is all the outrage AL ****ING SHARPTON YOU ****ING RACIST PRICK?

The answer, of course, is to have the strictest gun ownership rules in the nation.

It would be interesting to find out what percentage of the deat..murders are in the wonderful area that 0bama community agitated. I bet it is a very good chunk of the total.

As long as Chicago yutes are shooting one another over gang colors or crack sales, and stay within the friendly confines of Cook County, I don't see a down side.

Therein lies the problem. Many of those gangbangers travel down state and commit murders or other crimes.

In a 12 day period 22 people were killed, 1 was white, 3 hispanic, 18 black. Where are the protests for these blacks who are being killed?

Growing up, I lived about three hours to the east of Chicago and from childhood through about the age of 29 or 30, a trip to Chicago was an exciting and fun time; something we did several times a year.  Heck, I even considered moving there at the age of 30. 

I'm not sure I would even feel safe there now.

There are some relatively safe parts of town.  I always felt safe in my NW side neighborhood.

I live a mere 5 hour drive from Chicago. I'm in the middle of a rural state where little league is a major pastime.

No matter how bored I get. I have NEVER been tempted to visit Chicagoland. To me its as dangerous and foolish as going to Mexico.
