Just registered. Not sure where to say "hi"
« on: March 25, 2012, 11:35:30 PM »
Hi Conservative Cave!

I came here because Taylor sent me a link to your Trayvon Martin stuff.  I have put together a (very long) thread about the Martin case at Conservative Underground and I have done a timeline of events.  I am aghast at what the left is doing with this case, and I'm of the opinion that Zimmerman was covered under Stand Your Ground, which I support.  However, the issue is not the law or even the case itself but the media manipulation (agitprop) which surrounds this case, from the outdated photos of the "sweet boy" to the lies of the father as to where he was on that Sunday night and as to when Trayvon left.

If you're interested some threads:

Trayvon Martin Debunking Thread

Timeline of February 26

Trayvon's father's lie to the media  (This one is timely; Trayvon's dad changes his story tomorrow in People Magazine.  Someone finally did some fact checking.)

I have been browsing and you have a lot of interesting forums.  Some background on me: I used to be at DU but became a PUMA during the 2008 election and got banned.  I went to Conservative Underground and found I had a lot more in common with with conservatives than I thought and ended up staying.  I'm particularly concerned about the erosion of the Bill of Rights under this president and want his policies, including the disastrous Obamacare, reversed.  I'm not the biggest fan of Mitt Romney, but this year it's anyone but Oblahblah.

Anyway, nice to meet you.  I hope I can spend some time here getting to know people.

Yes!  :-)

I can see that there is a lot of overlap.  Are there other former DUers here too?

Put me down for a welcome aboard and hope you enjoy your stay as well :drunksailor:.   There are lots of great posters here who post on both sites and also mole at the DUmp.  And there are even a few reformed DUmmies who post here.

I will give your links a lurk when I have a bit more time.  Does anyone know if the coroner's report is available on the deceased?  I am curious about mention of things like entry wound and any identifying dental work.

Thank you all so much! :)

Can I say you all have more smilies than I can even look at?

Someone asked about the coroner's report. I haven't seen that yet.  Everything I have heard says that Trayvon was shot in the chest.

Also, today's news:  Trayvon was suspended for possession of marijuana; an almost empty baggie.  Also, the 13-year old kid Austin (remember him from the media cry-fest last week?) actually saw Zimmerman on the ground wounded.  And finally, Mama is trying to trademark Trayvon's name and image and phrases like "I am Trayvon".  Someone's gettin' a payday. :-)

Everything has been updated on my Debunking Thread.  (It's getting long, I'm gonna need a second.)

It's a good day: The DUmmies are crying that the "media narrative" has changed.  I'm getting a Foster lager on the way home to celebrate.

 :-) :-) :-)

Almost forgot!

Today Trayvon's dad tells another story about when Trayvon left the house in People Magazine.

If you recall, the original story is that Trayvon left during halftime of the NBA Game to get some snacks.  He was allegedly on the cell phone with his cousin when he walked out the door.

Well some quick fact checking of the TV schedule (TNT 2/26/12) shows that the NBA game actually started at 7:30.  Trayvon was shot around 7:15 and was being pronounced dead by the Sanford Fire Department paramedic at 7:30 (according to the police report).

That would mean that Trayvon left the house after he was already dead.
  Oops.

Clearly the father lied, but why?

Well, today Trayvon's dad tells People Magazine that he actually left the house and went out to dinner before Trayvon left the house.  When dad (and presumably girlfriend) came back from dinner, Trayvon was gone.  Tracy Martin (dad) didn't worry because he assumed that Trayvon was with his older cousin.  He (and presumably the girlfriend) went to bed.

It was only when he got up the next morning (Monday) that he realized Trayvon was missing.  He says that he learned that Trayvon was not with his cousin.  (I'm assuming the cousin called.  It makes me wonder if the cousin wasn't supposed to look after Trayvon while Tracy was doing his truck driving job).

Tracy then called the police, as he told the Sentinel, to see if his son "had been arrested."  That's when he learned his son had been shot.

So Tracy Martin lied about his own whereabouts on Sunday and on Trayvon's time of departure.  Makes you wonder how much else is not exactly the truth.

Daddy's second version of events:

Quote
http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/parents_tell_of_their_nightmare_7SJ8xlBmJU9T0TaGyoHryO

“I had gone out for dinner,” dad Tracy Martin told People magazine. “And when I got home, Trayvon wasn’t there. I tried calling his cellphone several times, and it went straight to voice mail.

“I figured that they had gone to the movies,” he said of Trayvon and his nephew. “So I laid down, thinking they would show up later.”

But Trayvon never did. The next morning, Tracy “started getting worried” when the nephew said he hadn’t seen Trayvon.

He called the Sheriff’s Department to file a missing-person report, and police asked Tracy to identify a photo of his son.

Now here is a story that still includes the NBA All Star Game (which began at 7:30, after Trayvon had died.)  Does no one fact check?

This is from MSNBC's "the grio"  (a West African word for "storyteller")

Quote
http://www.thegrio.com/specials/trayvon-martin/trayvon-martin-shooting-timeline-leaves-many-unanswered-questions.php

3/23/12

When Tracy Martin and his fiancée, Brandi Greene, went out to dinner on the night of February 26th, they left Tracy's son, Trayvon, and Brandi's son, at home in Brandi's townhouse in a neat subdivision in Sanford, Florida. They had spent time with their kids, who had bonded ahead of becoming step-brothers, and now wanted some adult time.

Trayvon was 17, and was in town from Miami where he and his father were both from. He lived in Miami Gardens, a growing South Florida suburb, with his mom, Sybrina Fulton.

The boys were watching the All Star game. At some point, Trayvon decided to walk to a nearby shopping plaza where there is a 7-11. He bought an iced tea, and for his soon-to-be younger step-brother, a box of Skittles candy. It was raining.

He never made it back to Brandi's house.

Of course, now we know that Trayvon was suspended for drugs.  I wonder if Brandi would have been so eager to have her kid "bond" with Trayvon.
