Germany set to ban extreme right party
Germany is going to try again to ban the extreme right National Democratic Party, which has been linked to a neo-Nazi cell accused of nine racially-motivated killings and the murder of a policewoman.

"The NDP is a party that is an enemy of the constitution. We want to start a process to ban it," said Hans-Peter Friedrich, federal minister of the interior, on Thursday after his regional colleagues met.

Germany was last year rocked by the revelation that a fascist gang, calling itself the National Socialist Underground based in the eastern town of Zwickau, was made up of people close to the NPD.

The cell has been accused of at least 10 murders between 2000 and 2006, mainly of Turks.

Numerous studies in the past also showed homosexuality to be a mental illness, thank God we did not start banning or even killing them then.

My mom used to say this "in the world of the insane, the sane person is the crazy one" so who says liberals are not the mental ones? In a democracy, the majority rules, if you cant beat em with sound ideas and logic then you got to give up, don't go around trying to ban em.

Having sex up the butt is still a mental illness.

And gets better all the time. That's why homosexuality is not classified as a mental illness. That's also why we now know that conservatism is a mental illness. Politics based on conservatism is not rational due to mental illness. To allow conservatism to exist is no different than allowing schizophrenia to exist and dominate the public discourse. Conservatism needs to be outlawed as a political philosophy. Anything associated with it needs to be wiped out in total. Only then will we be able to have rational public discourse. To try to win on ideas is arguing with the insane. It doesn't matter how rational and good our arguments are. You can never win an argument with someone that is insane. And when the insane have unlimited millions to pump into campaigns with their, by definition, sick ideas, the whole system becomes corrupted as it is now.

(LOL! as a side note as I typed the word "total" above on my phone, auto-correct tried to substitute "Trotsky"! LOL!)

And just what do you think that we'll be doing while you try to eradicate us?

Eh, no. It's not classified as a mental illness anymore because the American Psychiatric Association, probably for political reasons, voted it be dropped from the DSM in 1973. This was many years before "science" started making vague assumptions about it being genetic.

And based on that theory we should ban an entire way of thinking.

IIRC and I do, this is exactly how the NAZIs got to power and why totalitarians want the First and Second AMendments off the books.

The thing that gets me about all this BS is this:

Polls show the US is:

21 percent liberal
40 percent conservative
35 percent moderate

So this "study", in an offhand way,  says that approx 40 percent of the US is mentally ill? That just don't make sense to me.

Let me give the dummies a little primer here:

1. How many libs are either on brain meds or have been in therapy? Since DU is a liberal bastion let us use them as a representative of the libs. To be honest I do not know how many are on meds or have been therapy but a good indication is a forum dedicated entirely to mental health issues. Now let us look at CC or CU as a comparison. Is there a mental health forum?

Draw your own conclusion, dummies.

Now let us look at just the raw numbers... or percentages as it were. According to this report:

"The current prevalence estimate is that about 20 percent of the U.S. population are affected by mental disorders during a given year."

I ain't the smartest guy in the world, certainly not as smart as the mostest smartest people on the internet... but I happen to see a link between the percentage of libs in the country and the percentage of people suffering from mental illness the country.  Wow! You might have that backwards.  First they concluded that conservatism is a mental disorder, then they did a study that supported the conclusion.

Keep in mind that in Germany, their right wing party is like OUR conservative democrats and blue dogs. There is NO SUCH PARTY in the WORLD as extreme as OUR republican party.

So for Germany outlawing THEIR right wing fascists is a step in the right direction, and will lead to more progressive values in Europe.

WE should be doing the same thing and outlawing the republican Party here in the states!
