I think that is a secondary factor. IMHO, the main thorn in the communist left demokrat party's side is that Tebow's mother did NOT abort him and then went on to be great in life. This could make many women think twice about just automatically aborting a baby.  Same thing why the rabid hating left went so hard at Sarah Palin, she kept her child and didn't kil..er..abort him. How many threads have we seen that worship abortion above all else over at the cesspool called the DUmp.

It's all about the abortion, well about the not aborting.
