As someone here mentioned yesterday.....they are obviously burning up the PM system at DU trying to organize some kind of defense for Steve......I'd pay SERIOUS money to be on that bulk PM list......

Since the www.electstevedawes.com site hit No.1 on Google search results, they are attempting to elevate the search status of his personal sites........

Without going public to the rest of the DU membership (which they are avoiding like the plague) I don't think they have the horsepower to do it......

I thought that Steve had been instructed to not post at the DUmp any more.  He just C&P'd a story about a therapy dog's death in Omaha.   12 years old, natural causes.  Now, I love dogs and all, but is this national news?

Even more to the point, I believe he could have continued to frolic at the DUmp and still conduct his campaign, had he never breathed a word of his candidacy online.

It's unlikely anyone would have connected Steve Dawes the hopelessly swamped loser with Socialist Steve Dawes of teh DUmp.

He would still have finished fourth in a field of four, but without the headache of having his socialism revealed.

But, say, the 236 or so businesses in the greater Bellevue area might be eternally grateful to us if we could give them a buzz - not a DU dope smoking buzz, but a telephone buzz - and tell them about that wonderful site, http://www.electstevedawes.com. They would be THRILLED to hear that someone with their values and business acumen would consider representing them at the mean, capitalist city council heathens. I would say that their interest in Steve would CERTAINLY be piqued.

So, what say? I remember Ban suggesting that Steve use a "phone bank." But the dummies don't know how to use a phone except to order extra cheese with their Dominoes or complain to the Omaha EDD their unemployment check is late. So we should confer with the crack team over at http://www.electstevedawes.com to come up with a few people with unlimited calling to make contact with these 236 businesses.

Steve will NOT be able to believe his good fortune! FREE campaign help, promoting his very ideals and values to the people who matter the most: the small businesses who would be DELIGHTED to hear his ideas for worker unions, fees, and tax policies. I'm sure a competent representative of http://www.electstevedawes.com can help divvy up the list of 236 businesses among his crack staff, perhaps with a basic script but mostly with an ear toward listening to the concerns of the good Bellevue business professionals. Lastly, Steve himself will be eternally grateful at this fantastic work provided by the staff at http://www.electstevedawes.com! Maybe he can run for senator or something! Al Franken needs some comic relief in any case.

So, who has free phoning? The list is easy to make, and includes business names, phone numbers, and even addresses. If 5 people call 50 businesses over the course of a week or two that should be plenty of notification and more viewers for that great website, http://www.electstevedawes.com.

 OS is two things for certain.  An attention whore and not very bright.  Anyone that openly braggs about posting his real name and just how brave he is for doing so really needs a reality check. Even most teen-aged kids online know better then to do that.

Sorry but any attempt at sympathy for him should be met with more then a grain of salt. He dug this hole and seems to be headed to China at warp 10.
