I lost three friends yesterday.

They refuse to even talk with me anymore about politics. Two of us got gassed/peppered in the Battle for Seattle WTO protest. All of us went and marched at the Iraq anti-war protest in Feb 2003 in downtown Seattle. All of us support Darcy Burner for Congress too.

But they did what they call an intervention on me and told me if I could not support Obama then they could no longer be friends with me.

What is happening to this nation? Its like Bush has cut a huge wound and now salt is being poured into it by Obama and his supporters.

I feel like an outcast . . . a pariah.

I am very sad and hopeless.

this is a ridiculous concept, a political intervention - "SUPPORT OBAMA OR ELSE" i mean, on the internet is one thing but this kind of crap just doesn't happen in real life.

how many of us have arch conservative parents, siblings, friends, children, coworkers who we endure and love despite their differences?

Lauri, I saw that thread over there earlier.  I figured it's a total lie or the OP's an asshat or his friends are.

I've never lost friends over political stuff.  Life's too important.

BUT, this is a DUmmie. She doesn't have true friends. She may have comrades, but liberals believe that the ends justify the means. Concepts like honor, love, family are foreign to them.

I can say that because DUers are so far left they loose sight of human reality. Communists believe in a man made utopia, but cannot account for real human behavior, so they must impose their utopia at the point of a gun. DUmmies will have to do the same thing if they ever get power. They have no comprehension of normal human behavior, being abnormal themselves.

I am not surprised by a DUmmies inability to hold normal human relationships, even simple ones like friendships.
These people are insane. Politics and power is their god.

They have no issue with disowning friends and relatives who are conservative but they get all atwitter when someone suggests that they are capable of disowning their own over Presidental primary candidates. "Good lord, this could never happen. Who'd cut a friendship off because of a political disagreement. Not any of us tolerant, inclusive democrats. Must be conservative lies.
