Ah,I see. This is how cowards battle.I am SO very impressed by the sheer intelligence of this board.Steve is a reputable,hard-working man,and I would proudly support him.I am not quite as lucky and live in a "Right-to-work" state.I see people just like you all on a daily basis in my emergency room...seeking healthcare because their boss doesn't supply benefits...Why don't you actually DO something to benefit your country? You've certainly done well typing with cheetos in your lap.
Actually I have insurance. However, there have been times, especially when we were just starting out and our boys were small, when we didn't. I simply paid what I could and set up a payment plan & made monthly payments until it was paid off. And the last place I'd go (whether I had insurance or not) would be the emergency room unless it was a REAL emergency. At no time in the history of our 30 years together has my husband been in a union. We have always had excellent insurance (except as I said above, when we were starting out).
As for benefiting our country, you have no idea what we do outside of the Internet. This is merely a fun diversion. For some it's like a free course in Cultural Anthropology. For myself, as someone who enjoys literature, I see it as a daily reminder of the definition of irony. And, of course, what NOT to do if you want to be successful. But just what have you done to benefit this country? Whining on DU doesn't count. Being outraged at people who don't think exactly like you doesn't count, either.
