And you ****ing retards lurking here from DU, nothing we are saying isn't true. Idiots. Don't you retards realize we observe you like a psychological study and have been for years? We don't need to make up lunacy and attribute it to you. Nope, you do that all by yourselves.
A quick--or perhaps not--review for the lurking primitives:
(a) when the big guy gave hints he was running for some sort of public office (not specifying which one), franksolich counseled him that if he was serious about running and winning, he'd immediately swim away from Skins's island, cutting off all connections with Skins's island.....so that by the time 2012 came around, no one would think to connect "Steve Dawes" with "Omaha Steve."
After which he could campaign in peace and quiet, no one knowing Steve Dawes was also Omaha Steve.
But did he listen to franksolich?
N-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o.
(b) when the big guy announced his candidacy and his first priority, raising money, franksolich counseled him that he was putting the cart before the horse. To get money, one must first have something to sell, and it would be better to build his platform first, and appeal for money later.
But as it evolved, the big guy's "platform" was simply "I'm Steve Dawes, running for city council. Send me money."
Did he listen to franksolich?
N-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o.
That's one Hell of a platform.
"I'm Steve Dawes, running for city council. Send me money."
(c) as the big guy dithered around not building a platform, franksolich constantly counseled him that he'd better get on the ball, telling the taxpayers of Bellevue how he was going to lower their taxes, minimize governmental interference in personal and business affairs, crush the too-dominant power of public-sector labor unions, and fill their potholes in the streets.
Time was running out for the big guy; if he didn't hurry, the voters of Bellevue might not learn what he stands for, in time for the primary on May 15.
He
had to get this done; he was already months late.
Did the big guy listen to franksolich?
N-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o.
Well, now it appears that friends of the big guy took things into their own hands, building his platform.
And probably scant credit those friends are going to get from Steve Dawes.
There's a lesson in this, but one doubts it's sunk through the thick skull or bloated ego of the big guy.
