Wow!  His website makes Socialist Steve Dawes website look like crap.
Help keep America beautiful...deface a liberal.

The Democrat and Republican parties are simply the left and right wings of the same bird of prey.

The road to freedom is paved with dead liberals.

Mike sounds like a pretty bright, professional, reasonable, competent, principled, ethical guy, but alas I personally have to favor the two (R)s in the race.

However, if he ends up one of the top two, hence moving to the November ballot with one of the two (R)s, I wouldn't mind; more power to him.

*****ANNOUNCEMENT FROM franksolich*****

Before this goes any further and the primitives get all agog and excited, conservativecave, the DUmpster, and members of conservativecave as individuals, have no connection whatsoever with either of the two (R) candidates or with the (L) candidate.

No connection whatsoever; political, social, fraternal, business, professional.  No connection at all.

The only connection conservativecave, the DUmpster, and members of conservativecave as individuals have with any candidate in this particular race is with Omaha Steve.  No one else.  Just the big guy.

We are doing this as a public service, for the Good of Humanity.

Carry on.

We may have to think about the working on the pity party when the big guy doesn't cut the mustard.  Maybe even some excuses for him, because you know there is going to be plenty of those flying around.

Yeah, he does; he doesn't need any help from us.

The big guy, on the other hand, is going to need a lot of help getting his message out, advertising to the voters of Bellevue what he stands for.

He actually lays out his plank, whereas OS talks about himself.

I put OS 4th in a field of 4.

What a charitable idea - the least we can do for him is to plan the pity party!!  We can totally do this!!

Oh, I'm sure the big guy's going to blame collusion between any or all of the other candidates with the DUmpster, which is a matter that concerns me, because no such collaboration exists.

Primitives do things like that, seeing foul conspiracies in all things.

You got the three other candidates running for altruistic and unselfish reasons of their own.

And you got the DUmpster trying to keep the big guy on the straight-and-narrow, being sure he observes all the laws and gets around to telling the voters of Bellevue what he stands for.  It's a public service we're doing.

Yep, he dominates the first page for a Google search for Bellevue City Council Ward 1.  Very professional looking sites, in third person as any professional writing should be.  Strong history of volunteering in the community.  I wish him luck.

You know, madam, for the longest time, beginning four and a half years ago when conservativecave was first formed, I used to fret and worry because the board was dominated by members from New England and the South, with hardly anybody from the Upper Great Plains.

Well, it still is (and there's nothing wrong with being from New England or the South, no way), but it's been encouraging to notice a sharp upswing the past month or so, in "guests" from Omaha, Council Bluffs, Missouri Valley, Papillion, Bellevue, Ralston, Arlington, Ashland, La Vista, Blair, Glenwood, Plattsmouth, Gretna, &c., &c., &c.

It's not so lonely being a Great Plainsian here anymore.

But I would like to get something to draw some Sandhillsians......

And, he has yard signs!

Stevie, the wailing buffalo wallow woman, will be crying in his root beer because he went the pamphlet route and misjudged the yard sign advantage.

It was probably an economic decision, pamphlets over yard signs. But in a field of four you start out with a 75% disadvantage, excepting the incumbent who can run on his record. Spend big now, Chief Tears-On-The-Cheeks. More people will notice and pay attention to signs along the streets that the pamphlet under the wiper (a real money waster as 95% of them wind up as trash without being read.).

While I normally feel Libertarians, due to their patron saint Ron Paul, to be as worthy of contempt as democrats, this guy makes Socialist Steve Dawes look like the DUnce he is.

While this guy celebrates resurgent Cornhusker football under Buckeye Bo Pelini, Socialist Steve excoriates Tom Osborne for recruiting athletes who like girls. Nebraska is losing ground in the fight for queer football players!

"Elect Steve Dawes - He'll Fight For More Big Red Perverts"  That should fit on a bumper sticker, don't you think?

Steve's strategy is similar to an Ohio politician declaring hatred for Woody Hayes, or an Alabama politician slandering Bear Bryant. Real smart.

Actually, this Libertarian character is most likely Socialist Steve's ticket to November.

Even if seventy percent of Bellevue is comprised of normal people, this guy and the two Republicans will split up the non-moonbat vote, assuring Socialist Steve a top two finish in May.

Very few normal people will vote for a Libertarian, but there maybe enough to save Socialist Steve.

Wow. The two websites are night and day. The Michael Knebel posts positions on issues, says what he will do, and proudly proclaims he is a libertarian.

If only Steve could proudly proclaim his socialism.

The Libertarian page stands out because it is HONEST. Michael Knebel tells the truth.
Steve must hide what he is. At least take a position on something, Steve. Hope and Change only worked once.

Geeze, Louise. Steve site looks like some half-a$$ed union job.

PS, last thought. Michael Knebel doesn't hang at out girls sports events.

I'd like to know if Chief Waterworx places any of his yard signs, if he shells out for any, are put up in front of his opponents' signs along the byways and highways of Bellevue, NE?

Wish I knew someone in Bellevue, NE. I stayed on my side of the river in 2006/2007 while I was working at the Council Bluffs Energy Center Unit 4.
