No one here has a problem with Socialist Steve Dawes's flyers, provided he doesn't create litter by putting them under windshield wipers, and provided they are honest in portraying him as a lifelong socialist.
As a candidate representing the democrat party, surely Socialist Steve Dawes values honesty above all else.
We would probably understand his hesitation to explain his obsession with high school girl athletes to the voters.
After all, that could put him in physical danger.
But his devotion to socialism is a political matter, and it must be addressed in a political campaign.
His record of repeated litigation against employers, his longterm malingering, his pursuit of a disability scam, and his failure to ever do a day's work for a day's pay simply must be put before the voters.
His near full-time participation in a radical, far-left political forum will be an issue of much interest to the people of Ward 1. Normal people will be astonished to learn that someone has made over thirty-one thousand comments to a leftist lunatic web site, while on the public payroll.
I'm pretty sure all those issues will be put to rest by Socialist Steve, or someone, before anybody has to vote.
That way, in the highly unlikely event he were to win, at least the people of Ward 1 would be getting what they deserve.
