Help Me Start a Boycott!

How does one go about organizing a boycott? I feel it is time to stop waiting for our politicians to do something to help American workers. I propose a massive boycott of non union products coming from right to work states. Cut off the flow of money to the union busters and perhaps weaken them enough politically for unions to take effective action.
Can such a project be initiated without help from big organizations via the web? I guess the first thing would be to identify the. Right to work states, identify the politicians who voted in right to work, and then find out who their largest contributors are. These would be the people you would go after with a boycott.
We are getting kicked out of our homes and watching our communities die waiting for politicians to take action. If you don't get it by now that we must save ourselves, you never will.
Anyone with experience in this sort of thing have any input? Who would you approach with an idea like this, and is it possible to get it started with a small number of people?

2. can't be too hard

To identify the firms who make the biggest donations to the likes of Scott. Walker and identify their products. I guess the tricky part might be identifying which products are the biggest cash cow and targeting them.

7. Do you mean like the Kochs?

Because a lot of Koch products are union made.

D'oh!

3. Virginia became a Right to Work state in 1947. Good luck tracking down

and punishing the politicians involved and their contributors.

I remember a thread last week (?) where you suggesting the same thing. Some wise DUer suggested that you instead run a positive, "Buy Union" campaign and avoid the negatives. I suggest you revisit that sage's advice.

4. Oh we mustn't

Go after the union busters! Tell it to Wisconsins workers.  and just as many people thought it was a great idea. I believe it is an idea whose time has come. And thanks for visiting my thread last week and this week. Apparently I got your attention. Last week I proposed the idea. This week I'm seeking practical advice. I'll start the damn thing myself if I have to. It's been done before.   stay tuned for further developments!

6. Way to miss the point and where did I tell you to not go after union busters?

BTW, stop using your cell phone and internet access, those services are probably coming thru non-union Virginia tech/telecommunications firms.

I think that guy is a hoot.  Wild-eyed, obsessed, with a one-track mind.

biggest donations to the likes of Scott. Walker

That was already tried a long time ago.  'Bout that time, we were all planning cookouts with Johnsonville brats, some fine Coors products, cheeseburgers made with Sargento cheese, all mopped up with Koch Bros brand paper products (Georgia Pacific).

God alone suffices.

"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

16. not too silly

If you live in a union - worker friendly state and your decent paying union job was pulled out from under you and went to Texas where it is now being done by someone for little more than minium wage with no benefits. Up here we call it SCABBING.

Down here we call it employed.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Boycott non-union products and companies.
Let's start with China, Vietnam, Indonesia, ...... etc & etc.

Oops, maybe not such a good idea after all...right DUmbass?
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

SCAB: Stalinist Communist Agitating Bastards
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948
