I believe it was part of of the zeitgeist that day. I remember, after confirming the story and the initial shock wore off, one of the first thoughts in my mind was "Well, we are all Breitbart now." And then I checked Twitter and it was already going around there.

It was just one of those things as obvious as truth.

That picture of Breitbart (the one with Obama in it) is from the front cover of his book, "Righteous Indignation," if that helps to find the original.  That is a very good book, BTW.
