Let's say the Republicans take the house, senate and White House...

Do you think there will come a time when the first amendment will be repealed and they'll declare a state religion, turning this into a theocracy? I'm really surprised someone hasn't tried to do this already, to be honest. Oklahoma wants to so terribly bad it hurts that they can't.
Just speculating and looking for interesting discussion...

Hey dumbass the repukes had The House, The Senate, and the White House from 2001 until 2007, and the White House until 2009.
During those 6 years did anyone try to repeal the first amendment or try to set up a state religion?

7. It takes more than the House and Senate to change the constitution.

It takes affirmative votes in 3/4ths of the states.

13. Do you honestly think that won't happen?

There are enough nutter butters in this country who would vote for it. Mark my words.

Once again the DUmmies are projecting onto the right what they would like to do.  They would like nothing more than to repeal the first and second amendments to the US Constitution.  Obama has done more damage to the Constitution than any other president.

I want to be there when this asshat discovers that there were state religions in most of the individual states at the time that the First Amendment was ratified.  Not to mention that those same state religions were not instantly dissolved at the moment the First Amendment was ratified.

I really want to watch his widdle head implode over that one.

Did you actually say that?  And no there's not.  We revere the Constitution as-is, it is not a living document.

Paranoid projection.

For every action there is a reaction, equal and in the opposite direction.

Hey, the left attacks religion at every turn. Their socialist utopia has no room for religion...they try to push it out of existence... religious people are pushing back...

DUmmies should have taken physics instead of basket-weaving/wymins-studies.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Look Regressives are all about free speech, as long as they agree with you. If not, not so much.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Come on DUmmies, you're slipping.  The first thing we'll do is implement "Marshall" law.

It would be awesome to have the libs put into those FEMA trailers that even the 9th ward dwellers wouldn't stay in.
Speaking of 9th ward dwellers. We got a pile of them up here where I live, as refugees. They were quite shocked when after shoplifting at our local stores they were arrested. Apparently it's only a misdemeanor in New Orleans.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

This nutty unterprimitiven wrote his original post having no idea whatsoever of the process required for amending the Constitution.

He was almost surely the product of a school system with unionized teachers.

OZ, many of'em stayed in a cruise ship docked at Mobile. They had more crimes than you can count on 50 fingers and it took 6 months for the company to sanitize the ship before putting it back into service. It's cultural, and **** you DUmmies, it has nothing to do with race.

All of the things the DUmbasses are so batshit-scared of - prayer in schools, abortion illegal on moral grounds, blue laws, etc. - were present in this country as the norm a mere 50 years ago. Yet we were no closer to becoming a "theocracy" then as we are now. In fact, the opposite is quite true. We are farther away from God now as a country than we ever have been in history. DUmmies will never be happy unless the very mention of God in public is outlawed, and Christians are forced to meet secretly in caves, communicating by drawing symbols on the ground with sticks lest they be overheard, arrested and thrown to the lions. When a simple, "God bless you" from a stranger is equated with an act of physical violence, the ubiquitous phrase "shoving it down my throat" being a popular rhetorical device at DU, it really tells you where they're coming from.
