Somebody there mentions I took the Bellevue East girls basketball team out of my bio. Very nasty comments. Didn't Rush teach them anything about women's issues? They comment on my out of state financial support will be my downfall. How will the community feel about outsiders that support anybody but Steve taking shots at the team with the best Class A record of this millennium?

Since the local paper covered it, it is moving to a different tab. This photo is on my media tab from three weeks ago. It just doesn't have the text inserted yet.



Prior to moving to College Heights in Bellevue in November 2006, I became an ardent supporter of Bellevue East Girls Basketball, thanks to my friendship with coaches Scott Jensen and Matt Fritsche. Eventually when Matt became a coach at Bellevue West, that too became a team that close friend Jeff and I came to follow. Jeff and I were presented T shirts by the Bellevue East senior girls at the 2006 State Tournament by current player Shelby Quinn's mom for cheering the team with extra spirit. I was invited to speak to the team after their semi-finale win in the State Tournament games of 2004. This support has been ongoing for over twelve years. (Long before I moved to Bellevue.)


Amber Quinn is one of the girls that gave Jeff and I the shirts in 2006 and was at the 2012 district final unexpectedly. Jeff is wearing the shirt autographed on the back by ALL the players we were awarded with that day.

He certainly does. 

In your local elections, do any of you pay attention to which sports or teams the candidates follow?  I don't.  I want to know their ideology.  Do they have a Socialist bent, or are they full-blown Socialists like Steve Dawes?  I want to know how they would manage a city, and if they would spend my dollars properly, such as not greasing the palms of union cronies.

The article about me in the local paper about being a fan of the (football and basketball games I've attended) teams was printed with a photo two weeks ago. The next day the girls state tournament started. Hand shakes and well wishes from the voters all around.
