What % of those Hispanic registered voters who don't have an id actually vote, because the number would drop dramatically I would imagine.
The state just needs to break down that data. Voting records are public documents. So are records of individuals who have a state issued ids. Do your homework Texas.
The DOJ is suing/blocking the Texas law in order for them to prove a negative, specifically:
the state has failed to demonstrate that the the law is not discriminatory by design
And as you are well aware, you cannot disprove a negative. Sorry, but the burden of proof should be on the DOJ that this IS in fact discriminatory and that DOJ, not the state, needs to back up their assertions with facts.
