From what I recall, many of the early scientists, names that DUmmies would respect and revere, were not only spiritual, but affiliated with Christianity in some way. It was their very faith that made them curious about the hows and whys of the Creator and his Creation. If anything faith encouraged their natural curiosity into God's world.
