Liberals make me want to  

I just got into a "Discussion" with a liberal friend of mine about how he said that there is no comparison between what Bill Maher did to Sara Palin and what Rush Limbaugh did to Sara Fluke. He also claims that what Keith Olbermann, Ed Shultz, and David Letterman did to Sara Palin was o.k!

Just because he asserts it to be so or did he try to give a reason?

And at any rate it doesn't matter. If the point of the discussion is to say, "it's unseemly to speak of women in objective, sexist tones" then theire respective status as public figures is irrelevant. Either it's sexist or it isn't.

Calling Clarence Thomas a n***** is not mitigated by his very public role on the Supreme Court; it's still racist. It denies Justice Thomas his intrinsic, fundamental humanity in exchange for a judgment that goes no deeper than his skin and based on degrading emotions.

Either you "friend" is arguing on principle or he's arguing on the criteria opportunistically selected to most readily advance his agenda.

Or you could reply that Hillary is a lousy **** who couldn't keep her man home at nights.

Try either one and let me know how it goes.

I don't see the difference myself, they were both sexist statements and both statements should not have been made. Rush apologized, Maher will not.  My friend is the type of person who thinks that it is o.k for a liberal to say and do anything they want, and then he calls a conservative out for everything they do.

From reading DU you'll recall that their excuse was since Sarah brought her kids out on stage she made them political props and thus they were fair game.

It's pretty ****ing weak but that's their excuse.

But Dog forbid that we made fun of Hillary's crotchfruit or of the Obama Children when they bring them onto the stage or insert them into the political discussion.
