There's absolutely no reason for these. Maher is on a paid cable network that no one is twisting your arm to subscribe to. He got dropped from ABC once over comments he made. Limbaugh on the other hand is on free radio with a huge audience and a wide sponsorship base. He is also on Armed Forces Network. Maher isn't. Don't you think anyone who speaks to our troops on a daily basis should be held to a higher standard than someone on a paid-for cable network? Say what you want.

If only Rush had been on satellite radio he could have called Fluke a dirty, scuzzy, cum-guzzling gutter whore too skanky to appear in Mexican donkey pr0n and the left would have been totally OK with that.

It's just that he popped-off on AM.

So, you see, it's not really about women or perceived misogyny...

Here's what strikes me as incredibly hypocritical about this: Obama's policy requiring insurance cos to cover birth control does NOT use "public" money for this coverage. These are private corporations.(that may have moral objections to birth control in that form) Furthermore, women who purchase that coverage do so via their employers or other means -- and are doing so with THEIR money, not the public's money.

In contrast, we have to be subjected to the blazing ignorance and insulting hatred of Limbaugh on PUBLIC airwaves (am radio) funded by PUBLIC money ie: taxpayersWhere does the public pay for the broadcast of Limbaughs show.  A radio station is privatly owned,  pays a fee to the FCC for the right to broadcast on a specific frequency, is requred to broadcast emergency information if needed on beheast of the government (not an issue, seems very reasonable), but Bill Maher is carried on cable systems often subsidised by local govt by granting them a monopoly . So while he's lambasting Ms. Fluke for something she isn't even asking for and that Obama in fact did not mandate That is true, the health care bill did., he's doing that very same thing HIMSELF ie: the public is paying him to verbally masturbate himself on public airwaves. And he certainly thinks THAT is OK.

This is the height of both ignorance and hypocrisy. So, yes this is a HUGE difference.

Which do the primitives twist more to their advantage when it suits them, Jesus (and/or the Bible, or God as a whole), or the Armed Forces?

I agree that minorities and gheys are one of their sacred cows, but they never throw either of those groups under the bus. 

But, the primitives hate Jesus and the Armed Forces.  That's why Jesus and the Armed Forces spend an inordinate amount of time living under the bus, and are only trotted out under certain circumstances, when the primitives believe they can twist something to their advantage.

Are you implying Rush is more successful that Bill Maher?  Say it ain't so!  BTW, you can opt out of listening to Rush quite easily.  I think a lot of the former potential Air America listeners did the same.  They changed the channel, or turn off their radios.

Limbaugh's joking and offensive choice of language to describe Sandra Fluke that should result in his being fired. It was the fact that he lied when he said that Sandra Fluke had testified that she was having sex so much. She never mentioned her sex life during her testimony to Congress.

Maher sometimes says offensive things, but I am unaware that he lied in such an ugly but obvious way and did not apologize for it.

If you know of any instance in which Maher lied that way, please let all of us on DU know.

Limbaugh lied when he claimed to be quoting Sandra Fluke: She says were his words. She did not say what he said she said. That's not a joke. That is a lie that has not been retracted. 

I bet this dipwad hates Saturday Night Live when they portray people in unfavorable light with fictitous dialogue.

So apparently their outrage has nothing to do with women as a group.

Still, you gals should be on your knees "thanking" your knights in government subsidzed shining armor.
