Nads knows airport security

at Lindberg Field

We were taking a patient to the plane... so I go though security and of course MY STEEL TOE BOOTS make the damn thing go off.

"You can't go into the airport with that!"

To make a long story short, boots staid by security but I boarded a plane with a 10 inch blade, trauma shears and a radio...

So this does not surprise me

I mean, "Lindberg" isn't that odd of a name, but on the other hand I suspect nadin was referring to a "Lindbergh" Field somewhere.

As far as I know, there's never been a time when you could not board with safety shoes. You had to take them off to clear security, then put them back on. Nutcase nadin is lying, yet again. She must have forgotten to fact check herself.

10 inch blade? The longest knife in my collection is a Buck 120 and it is only 7 inches long blade.

Nada, hint to the stupid, make the story a bit more believable and it just might be.

No kiddin'!!! All I have are steel toed boots and I've never been thru anything remotely like that!

I have a question, why does a reporter need steel on her feet?

10"?! hell that ain't no knife, it's a ****in sword! Just how would you conceal somethin' like that in !order to get it by security? Oh, I know how, NadaBrain put it down her pants and no one wanted to see her x-ray! Put that in yer minds eye! eeeeeeeyuck!

I thought Nads the Magnificent was an EMT on the mean streets of Mexico, and a combat medic in Israel. Now she is claiming to have been a combat EMT in San Diego. Must have worked some pretty bad neighborhoods, to need to strap on a short sword.

Picture Nads the Magnificent, waddling through San Diego International Airport in an EMT uniform and her stocking feet, with a 10" Bowie knife strapped to her belt, babbling incoherently in Polish-accented Spanish.

Now try to do it without laughing.  :lmao:

She says they were taking a patient to a plane, before TSA got going.  So, the 2 EMT's wheel a gurney from the front loading area of the airport, leaving an ambulance parked, up to security, to where, the jetway?  What a bunch of crap.  I am also trying to remember the space on a 737 for a gurney, is it behind or in First Class?

If NBC ever brings back Squad 51, maybe the super EMT can get a role.   "Squad 51, Squad 51, see the woman, 41232 N Monte Vista, code 1"

You see, I don't care you how feel.  I really don't.  More importantly, neither does anyone else.  Only about 200 people on a planet of 7 billion actually care about your feelings, and that's if you're lucky.  The sooner you grasp this lesson, the better off you will be.  And since almost no one gives a damn what you do, say, think, or feel, appealing to your feelings when you encounter differences of opinion is not only illogical, but useless.

I tried picturing that without laughing as you suggested.  Twice.  Failed both times.  A most excellent laugh for a Friday morning.

I know several EMT's and other first response medical personnel, including my ex-wife who's one of the flight RNs on the helo flying around Augusta. None of'em wear steel-toed boots.

Hell, I don't wear them...although to be fair, they're composite toe (and shank) boots, and don't set off the metal detectors.

Nads is about as dumb as those old RTC SD washouts back in the day, who tried to go over the hill.  Yeah, the air port (see how stupid you look when you split words, nads?) is right across that little-bitty field, Rick!  But someone forgot to tell them that field was part of MCRD, and Marines just HATE squids.

And pre-9/11, you didn't have to take off your shoes, dumbasses.

AKA San Diego Airport.

Worst American airport I've ever flown into...that final approach SUCKS, although the "noise abatement takeoff" out of John Wayne is kinda unnerving the first few times you do it.

Went to Boot Camp there and Hospital Corps School also.  HM "A" school barracks was on a hill at the hospital (1975).  The approach was right over the building.  At night, you would be in the TV room on the top deck and the landing lights from the planes would light up the room.

Alot of entertainment was derived by watching the planes and the Marines at MCRD when we were out on the grinder.  Ah.....memories.

I've seen it mentioned here many times, but when did the nutcase claim to be in the Israeli armed forces? Can you even be a member without a knowledge of Hebrew or Yiddish? She brags nonstop about that shithole south of the border, but I don't recall a word about Israel.

I have far too much admiration for the Israeli armed forces to accept the idea of a lunatic like nadin ever being associated with them.

Suffice it to say, a 400-pound psychological cripple has no more Israeli combat experience than Bart Simpson, but I don't remember ever even seeing where she claimed it.

She tells sly little lies about being in shooting situations, but every single person in that shithole south of the border is in a shooting situation of some kind nearly every day.

The only airport I know of with that name is in St Louis. Then again who knows if there is another. Even in pre TSA days going through Air port security with a knife that large would not happen. I used to carry a very large Bowie knive when I was in the National Guard and there is no way it could be carried concealed .

At the risk of appearing inferior to Nads the Magnificent...

I was an Army Medic (active 1980-1984, National Guard 1984-1992) and a civilian Paramedic. Graduated from Creighton University's program, licensed in Missouri 1990-2006. My first EMT-P license number was DM-76XX (last 2 digits redacted). I was also a Law Enforcement Officer in Nebraska and Missouri from 1985-1996 with a short break in the middle. I worked in one capacity or the other in every environment, from aviation to woods to desert to rural counties to the inner city. I saved lives, and took life. I lost patients, and lost friends. I have had a richly satisfying career and life, yet there are things that I will see in my dreams until the day I die.

But...

I never wore steel toed boots nor carried a 10" blade. I never had to take off my boots in an airport and walk around in my socks. And I never met anyone as completely full of shit as Nadin Brzezinski Abbott. Any lurking DUmmies can carry the message back to her.
