I was never a DU2 mod nor do I have any special insights into what our Admins must tolerate to keep DU thriving, but our new "self-regulated" DU seems to have a lot more problems getting along than DU2.

I wonder how much of that is not honest and earnest concern over DU but attempts to undermine our effectiveness. I'm sure there are members who are alerting out of genuine concern, but it feels like the infiltrators are trying to muck up the works. I have no data to support this.

No link, and no way of knowing but I'd guess the site does get disrupted by conservative freaks who especially dislike feminism. Even the word sets them off, let alone a whole group.

Someone got shown the door. Someone who was right in the cohost line up, probably in the off site meetings, and pm'ing everyone in the leadership.

Well you're right about one thing - you genuinely do have no facts.

I think what you're actually experiencing is that your brand of feminism is so utterly extreme that even the crypto-(and not so crypto-)Marxists of the DUmp find it out of line.

Yeah, right, there's no spitefulness and squibble-squabbling and petty acts of vengeance among "real" DUers. They're a model of propriety and decorum when left to themselves. Just like OWSers would be completely peaceful were it not for agents provocateur.

Yep, they rarely do anything but run around in circles like their hair is on fire and no one will put it out! The place comes close to burning down every day because a new one gets the angst of the others damn near every day!

DUchebags alert on trolls and get their posts deleted rather than debate to prove the DUmb POV is right. To me that's an awfully big mark that their ideas are all about failure.
