I honestly don't see the national average of gas hitting the $5.00 mark between now and November.
If Israel hits Iran . . . it will skyrocket overnight. How much of the world's oil comes through Hormuz? Yeah, the US Navy and the Brits and French will keep it open (or reopen it), but prices will skyrocket within the first hour after such a strike. The Russians will welcome anything that drives up oil prices, but the Chinese won't. Sure, the Obamessiah will try to 'persuade' Netanyahu not to go ahead with the strike, but I think that the Israelis would do it, even under the threat of Russian counterstrike. The US
would get sucked into such a conflict. The Saudis would covertly support Israel. Also, 'Helicopter Ben' Bernakke (sp?) said that a third stimulus may be needed, meaning massive inflation.
If it's not there, it'll be damned close.
