My logic is that my odds are pretty good that at least one of those kids will be able to take care of me one day! Two is a 50/50 chance and one is putting all my eggs in a single basket. 33% chance is good enough. Four gets to be wild when they are young and five is way too many for me!

So if you only had 2 then the limit would be 2.
I also notice that you want one of your kids to take care of you, that right there is liberalism on display it's always someone else's job to take care of you.

I've known families with just one kid, where that was likely too many. But, I am from a family of 9 - and I value each and every one. My parents by the way are not right wing - nor is the family of a close friend who was one of 13. My mom, college educated and brilliant, always wanted a large family.

Do you want to emulate Rick Santorum and think that you know what is better for people you do not even know? How would you feel if someone decided that you needed precisely n kids?

Hey dummies, I can tell your parents when they had enough kids:

1) Take the order of your birth (let's say, for example, that you were number three)
2) subtract 1 from that.
3) there you have it.  That's how many kids that your parents should have had.  You were more than enough.  You were a mistake.  Therefore, you should make every effort to make sure that you don't continue the errors of your parents.

You're missing the main point...the number of children you choose to have IS an actual right.  Of course the DUmmies have no problem with restricting an actual right.  We've seen over and over their love for restricting free speech, free religion, gun ownership, and any other actual right they dislike.  The only restrictions that they can't stand are the ones on things they want.

The late and unlamented DUmmy Wileynumbers was a true prototypical DUmpmonkey.

He planned to float his ark out from Tennessee to the Pacific Ocean, not the Gulf or the Atlantic.
