I think these school shootings are a sign of the times. Children are not taught obedience.
Bullshit.  They aren't just being taught obedience, they're being indoctrinated ith it to the exclusion of any semblance of self-determination.  They're being told that the best they can hope for out of life is to be a cog in somebody else's machine, and that it's wrong, destructive and contrary to "the greater good" for them to so much as think anything else.

When you instill hopelessness, you create the situation where they see they have nothing to lose by lashing out, because the life laid out for them isn't worth living.

They can't be disciplined and nothing is ever their fault.

If by disciplining children, you mean give the little snot-noses an ass-beating whenever they step out of line, then you're right. Frankly, I can't say that I'm sorry to see those days coming to ann end. If you think that making spanking socially unacceptable means that you have no means of teaching discipline to the little skulls full of mush, then you're just as guilty of lazy parentling as the moonbats are.

I'm the son of a senior chief petty officer, and there aren't numbers big enough for the number of times I was getting "the end that listened" talked to as a kid, but this wasn't the disciplinary pattern that I carried with me when I became a father. I can count on one hand the nuber of times I've struck my son, but 's spent many times more than he'd like in the front-leaning rest position while he was reminded whose house this is and who's in charge around here. This is just one of the multitude of creative ways my wife and I have come up with to help my son develop SELF DISCIPLINE instead of hating and resenting his mom and I because WE are disciplining him.

Roe vs Wade instills no respect for human life.

How many of the modern crop of 12-year olds thugs pulling folks out of their cars and beating them within an inch of their lives do you think would cite Roe V. Wade as a reason for why their outlook on life is as fatalistic and jaded as it is? Think, man! There are any number of things within the walls of your own home which are de-sensitizing your kids to violence in general and death in particular. Concentrate on the immediate threats before you start placing responsibility on an arcane Supreme Court ruling that 100 to 1, doesn't exist in these kids universe.
