She always finds a way to confound me instead of a recipe, it's kind of a narrative.

I start with red potatoes and i leave the skin on. You cook them until they are soft enough to eat but not mushy.

Once they are cooked, I cut into bite sized pieces. I cook a LOT of bacon and break it into pieces, adding it to the potatoes. I chop some fresh parsley and some green onion (whatever amount appeals to the folks eating the salad) and add it to the potatoes and bacon. I add enough crab to taste it because I love crab but am also kinda frugal (crab is expensive). I have used canned and fresh crab and both are fine.

The dressing is simply low fat mayo with some brown mustard, salt and peper. I only add enough mustard to make it flavorful and I only make enough dressing overall to moisten and cover the potatoes for flavor. Too much dressing will make the salad goopy and will bury the crab and bacon flavors (which would bum me out).

Thanks, Jake's ex!  She tells a recipe like I do.  Someone asks "how much?"  I say, "Oh, you know, some...whatever looks right."

My first ex and I are FB friends.  I was friends with my second ex too, until his Mom found out.  LOL.

Yeah, she's a friggin nutbar and I refused her friend request.  He was playing that Castle Ages game, and had to be away from FB, so she logged in as him to play, and saw me there and deleted me.   

Guess you have a pretty good idea as to why he is an ex, eh?

We have managed to remain good friends, we even vacationed together in Cabo San Lucas a few years ago.  Our kids were young when we divorced and we didn't want to screw their lives up by acting like tools.

Good on you.  My parents did the same thing, except for the trip to Cabo, and I am grateful for it.
