I'll go ahead and state my opinion here. Oh, and it's not that way down here in Georgia, Lauri. I have two friends that are gay. They've been with each other for 18 years. Now, I don't believe in gay marriage, because I view that as a religious institution, but I have no problem with civil unions. As of right now, one can't collect another's benefits nor can they get on the other's insurance policy.
Now, the gay marriage, or civil union, being just about sex, well, that may be true in many cases, but it's not true in all cases. If you knew these two guys, you'd see what I'm talking about. It really is kinda funny because it mirrors many other "marriages" I see after a period of that much time. What's even funnier, is that none of you could tell that they were gay. Now, there's another gay couple that lives in my neighborhood who my friends call "the queens". That's some funny shit right there, I don't care who you are.
