That was the line ol' Texas Bob used in his "Face The Nation" promo on the CBS Sunday Morning show.

Hey Bob, you ****wad, how about you reverse that headline to reflect reality: "The mess the Catholic Church finds itself in with the American People."

Nothing like spiking a story, huh Bob? You sly ol' journalist, you. You knew what you were saying, dintcha?

No stinky, Bob had it right. In case you haven't reviewed some of the latest polls most Americans aren't happy with the government's intrusion of religion. Your vaulted separation of church and state works both ways.

I think Members of the mafia, like Stinky, suffer from a bad conscience--they know where they are headed.
The Church is a major part of the culture in Itally. The result is mafia members who claim to disbelieve but are actually rebelling against the reality of spending eternity in hell.

The rebellion translates into expressions of hate.
That just fits right in with the Socialist's hatred for people of faith.

The Mafia, though their lifestyles are the opposite of Church teachings, they don't diss the Church, they actually give a lot of money to their Parishes. You should've seen the Feasts in NY when I was a kid, it was like the scene from The Godfather II, when Vito Corleone played by Robert DeNiro was running across the rooftops, he was stalking Signor Roberto who was walking the streets during the Feast. The Mafia wouldn't allow anyone to diss Catholicism in their presence.
