Dear GOP, you wanted them...well, now you have them. How's that workin' out for ya??
The GOP has courted every nut job single issue voter in America for the past 30 years. Well, now they have them all under their 'big tent' and they are starting to eat each other.

Isn't that lovely?

Which party is it that is a fractured coalition of cultivated special interest groups being promised their own governmemt teat to suck off from?

1. It's a Party of Anti-Socialists.

That does not bode well for 1) running a country and 2) running a Party. By nature, they aren't fit to govern.

Proudly and what is our strongest message.

2. Yep. And they tried to make each and every one of those single issue voters believe that THEIR

issue was the REALLY important one. Well, they have succeeded so well that now they cannot shove them altogether to vote for one single candidate. And they have tried to attract so many diverse nuts that all the issues won't even fit into one single candidate. On top of that, the base is so frigging crazy that appealing to THEM means repelling 2/3 of the rest of the country.

Like they say...paybacks are hell.

Did you get your pony in 2009?

4. Fox News + hate radio + corporate control of mainstream media + church-GOP bedmating for 30 years

created the monster's pathological brain. Now the leadership can't control the ugly, destructive beast they've stitched together out of Reagan's corpse.

Funny how just about every candidate is within striking distance of an incumbant 10 months out from the election.
O should be up by 20 points at this stage of the game.

5. and none of those nuts have gotten what they wanted

outlaw abortion - no
outlaw gay marriage - no
win a war - no
money trickling down from tax cuts for the rich - no
constitutional amendments to ban flag burning and a host of other stupid things - no
declare english the official language of the usa - no
tons of other idiotic things - no

Hopefully a few of those nuts will realize that their republican party hasn't done a damn thing it claimed it would

You must have got your pony!

12. I heard a tea party leader on NPR. They already hate the tea party politicians.

He complained that the tea party politicians promised all kinds of things but haven't provided any of them. He blamed them for becoming Washington establishment once they got to Washington. He wanted to throw them out and elect some REAL tea party candidates next time.

They have a complete fantasy about government itself as well as everything else. They seem to think that politicians have the ability to change anything immediately. If they don't, they are traitors.

CALL CONGRESS RIGHT F**KING NOW!!!!!!!!

The Tea party isn't just lip service like the old main stream GOP. They are actually screwing with folk's lives in every bad way imagineable.

I remember when liberal used to be a dirty word. That is all going to change now. A day will come when calling a politician conservative will be the real political liability.

Yeah, that damned election in 2010 was such a disaster for us.

The only way conservative is beginning to be a bad word is because of you idiots and the MSM.

Conservative: believe in personal responsibility, limited government, free markets, individual liberty, traditional American values and a strong national defense.  Believe the role of government should be to provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals.

Liberal: believe in government action to achieve equal opportunity and equality for all.  It is the duty of the government to alleviate social ills and to protect civil liberties and individual and human rights.  Believe the role of the government should be to guarantee that no one is in need.

I am sorry if it is negative for me to want my freedom and for the individual to be responsible... then so ****ing be it.
"The society that puts equality before freedom will end up with neither; the society that puts freedom before equality will end up with a great measure of both."

"Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program."

"We have a system that increasingly taxes work and subsidizes nonwork."

Uh, that's right.

I dunno where Jimmy Carter was in the polls in February 1980, but in mid-September 1980, he had a decent (I think 7 or 8 points) lead over.....you know the rest of the story.

I dunno where Michael Dukakis was in the polls in February 1988 (but of course that as before he was even nominated), but in mid-September 1988, he had a decent (I think it was 7 or 8 points) lead over.....well, you know the rest of that story, too.

I forget who posted it but "The democrat party is all about diversity as long as everyone thinks the same."

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

IIRC, it was still neck-and-neck until the final debate, which was at the end of October.  Then Reagan opened up the lead.

"I remember when liberal used to be a dirty word....so we changed it to 'progressive'."

The word game of the left is very well illustrated with this word. The classical political/social definition of the word liberal is pretty much in line with what we call 'conservatism'. Now the word Liberal as used by today's Liberal then it is 180 degrees opposite to the classic definition. A Liberal is a totalitarian. A Liberal is angry and hateful. A Liberal is very intolerant. A Liberal is one of life's losers and bitter about it. A Liberal is a thief and usurper. A Liberal 'thinks' they are smart. A Liberal has to be able to hold two diametrically opposed and believe in each one equally. A Liberal in the not so distant future will be looked upon as a mental patient.

A BIG 'L' Liberal is of the lowest order of our current human evolution.

I heard on Rush today, that in California, a bunch of liberals made it illegal to throw, roll, toss, or fling a ball or frisbee on any beach in Los Angeles County.  You may have a beach ball.

If anyone is losing it's the left and they know it. Nobama is a one term President and that was one term to long. The best thing that could happen is for all the looney libs and progressives lose in November and never have their ideas spoken of again and to never see one rate an office of any importance.

Okay, let me see...wimmins' rights (especially "reproductive" rights)...no, not us. Gay rights...nope not us either (marriage and, evidently, hospital visits). The "poor", which, according to your definition includes everyone who thinks they're entitled to something someone else has...we missed the boat on those people too. Blacks, whose rights evidently consist of handouts while the live on liberal inner city plantations, not us again. Not that we don't have minorities, we just don't call them names (can you say Uncle Tom & house Negro...I knew you could) and expect them to worship us for handouts. But then, we believe everyone is quite capable of thinking for themselves and running their own lives. Illegal aliens (oops undocumented workers & drug dealers) no we don't court them with offers of special favors either. Well, we'd like them to go home and come in the legal way so that it's not a slap in the face to those who did it the right way...no, not us either.

About the only divide we have is between RINO elites and normal (conservative) Americans...check the surveys, DUmmies and see how many believe in our values and how many believe in yours. Granted we do have different religions and those with no religions. Of course, conservative Atheists don't get all bent out of shape when someone says Merry Christmas or when confronted with a Nativity at Christmas. But they're more tolerant and have a better understanding of the 1st Amendment. We have gun owners & non gun owners but one group is not trying to take away the rights of another. We have people from all socioeconomic levels but we don't covet what others have and we respect everyone equally. What the hell do I care how much someone else has? It's none of my business, I've got enough going on in my own life. But then, we value freedom more than money so there's that. So I guess I don't know who I'm supposed to consider a "nut job single issue voter". Still, I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard someone on the left say they're the "big tent" party. By now I'd have as much money as those greedy, rich conservatives.
