Bev Perdue(sp) the democrat gov. says she's not running for reelection.

She rode in on Obama's coattails. She's leaving because she gave voters the redass.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Something tells me Shuler ain't real happy with Democrat leadership.  That and he's possibly got some polling data that doesn't look at all good for him.

I don't care what party you're in--unless you're 90 years old (and sometimes not even then) incumbents NEVER just up and quit from the House unless running for higher office unless there's some real clear writing on the wall (ie: Bwaney Fwank.)

His district is in moonbat land of western NC.  So yeah they'll force him out, especially after sponsoring a national carry law.  I agree he ain't happy with dem leadership at all.

She rode in on Obama's coattails. She's leaving because she gave voters the redass.

Al the local scuttlebutt in state employee circles is the ObieWon told her that she's a drag on the ticket.  She's done nothing for that state.  Now, Faison is putting his hat in the ring for the Dem nod and promising all the poor school kids laptops and Iphones which, if he's elected, will be inexplicably 'stolen' and have to replaced.

I'm hoping that the good people of my former state learned a valuable lesson and don't let another Democrat slide in because of the Won.  Straight ticket shouldn't exist IMHO.  You take the vote seriously and take your time to do it.
