Republicans think two people, one full of hate and one incompetent, are qualified to run the USA?

Their ignorance and egos amaze me. Especially the Newt crowd. This hateful bag of shit is going to be their candidate (potentially) to govern 300+ million people in a hateful, regressive, paranoid way, JUST like the brutal dictators of days past. And Mittens, we thought Booshe was clueless, this guy is worse. Without a script, he's in meltdown mode.

If America doesn't see where we are going with either of these two bags of shit, we're doomed. Time to move overseas.

Oh and **** you Republicans, you've had over 300 years to get it right, and you've failed miserably, and these two dog turds are all you've got to offer? Nice job.

Wow.  We've been around for 300 years?

Hmmmmm.

1. Obama's is more likeable than Newt or Romney, and that is no small thing.

and didn't start phoneying it up until relatively recently. (If you believe the scion of the Bush crime family really wants to have a beer with you, let's talk bridge buying.)

I think Democrats win on the likeable/relatable issue this time. And I do think that has potential to swing voters.

Besides, Obama is having the dual advantages of (a) being an incumbent and (b) not being tarnished in a primary battle, as both Newt and Willard are being tarnished. Also, because he does not have to fight in a primary, he has not had to sink to smear campaigns, as have Newt and Willard.

I don't think those are small things, either, when it comes to influencing voters. Yes, negative campaigning does affect votes, but the person doing it also suffers in the public eye. IOW, Willard may use negative ads to convince people they should not vote for Newt, but Willard also loses points for being negative.

Obama has been able to avoid all that.

I think he could win on the things I've described in this post alone. And I think the refusal of Washington Republicans to cooperate with him, even on things they supposedly agree on, will help him too.

I think people are sick of gridlock and divisiveness purely for the sake of divisiveness.

4. They're going to have a hell of a time with the beer question...

...if Romney gets the nom. You can't have a beer with him -- or a cup of coffee, or even a Coke.

Somehow, "Who would you rather have some green Jell-O and funeral potatoes with?" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

2. Nah, you're wrong.

They're both incompetent.

Compared to what we have in office now, either one would be a vast improvement.

0bama is good at coming across as likable and sounding reasonable, like how he says they are simply asking the rich to pay a little bit more, when in reality there will be no asking and just a little bit more will be a little more over and over again until they get to the very high percentage that they are aching for.

Excuse me if I sound rude, because I don't mean to, sir, but what hallucinogenic drugs are you on?

I've been watching the Magic One since 2004 or whenever it was that he was "elected" senator from Illinois, and I've never, but never, seen him even remotely that way.

Of course, we may be looking at two different things; you, listening to the words he says, and I, watching his body language.

What I mean is when he speaks, the tone he uses, and the words they put on the prompter, he sound reasonable, like when he says all we are asking is for the rich to pay just a little bit more. For those of us who know what his goals are, we see right through it, for those who are not as attentive will hear the words and think that he sounds reasonable.

I had that pegged, as to what you really meant, and of course you're right.

I'm just a little feisty at the moment, dealing with cats suffering cabin fever and sixteen days without a cigarette.

I'll get over it.

It's all good I don't get upset being challenged. I also had the thought, with you being deaf you miss out on the tone and how he says things all you have is the actual words.

Congratulations of quitting smoking, I know that is tough.
