If Election Held Today 0bama Loses In Landslide, Gallup Shows

Interesting piece in today's Washington Examiner. According to their polls if the election were held today President Deficit would be facing quite an electoral vote deficit. 323 to 215 to be exact.  :loser:

Oregon will be blue.  And, unfortunately, I live in a swing state.  These people were dumb enough to re-elect Reid, so I'm sure NV will go blue too.  I really hope not though.

Of course, the election's ten months away yet, and anything can happen.

But as of right now, today, February 1, 2012, I can see the Magic One winning only 187 electoral votes, and am reasonably confident the eventual (R) candidate can carry Nevada.

Of course, this would all be moot in the absence of corrupt political machines that create votes out of thin air.

But alas, we have to deal with that too.

I have a huge distrust of computerized voting. Too much opportunity for shady capers being pulled, IMHO.
Accounts of voting officials driving around with ballots they "forgot about" may seem comical to some but are anything but. I believe there is a simple solution to all of this, something that has already been done with success in the past.

During the 1920's there was quite a problem with thefts of U.S. Mail, so much so that the marines were called in to put a stop to it. Well, the marines put a stop to it. I see no reason why this cannot be done with ballots. It should be done. It needs to be done. No more virtual voting. Paper ballots in locked ballot boxes under armed guard. You go near that box when you are not authorized to do so and you stop a bullet, period. End of ballot hijinks.

I think it is going to be a massacre. Being able to read a telepromter and lie will only get him so far. Unemployment, lack of jobs, the economy, Obamacare, higher taxes and excessive debt will doom the Magic Negro. He can not run on his lousy job performance. .

Plus, gasoline is predicted to be at $5 a gallon by Election Day.  If that's the case, "blue states" become "purple" and "tossup."

ETA: There is an unmarked graveyard in Chicago full of unrecorded dead Confederate soldiers, victims of a Union Army POW camp that was run worse than Andersonville. Maybe if the republicans cast votes for all of them, it could become at least a toss up state.

That was Camp Douglas. It was one of the worst shit holes ever in existence.

One of the reasons that all you hear about in the MSM is Teh One's approval rating being near 50%, they pointedly do NOT talk about the electoral vote count.  The problem he has in getting re-elected is that a lot of the states he will win are states where he would have a dominating lead, but you get no more electoral votes for having 75% of the popular vote than you do for having 55% of it.  An opponent can beat the snot out of him by garnering more electoral votes from more states, where the opponent wins by any margin, no matter how narrow.

Thank God for the electoral college. If it weren't for that, flyover country would be robbed blind to feed and support the "blue leeches"....sounds like Stalin and the famine doesn't it.
