For years and years, the Susan G. Komen Foundation has pointlessly given money to Planned Parenthood, despite the fact that Planned Parenthood’s claims regarding breast exams have been exposed as wildly exaggerated. Today, after years of work by pro-life activists, that ends:
NEW YORK (AP) — The nation’s leading breast-cancer charity, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, is halting its partnerships with Planned Parenthood affiliates — creating a bitter rift, linked to the abortion debate, between two iconic organizations that have assisted millions of women.

The change will mean a cutoff of hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants, mainly for breast exams.

Planned Parenthood says the move results from Komen bowing to pressure from anti-abortion activists. Komen says the key reason is that Planned Parenthood is under investigation in Congress — a probe launched by a conservative Republican who was urged to act by anti-abortion groups.

The AP’s phrasing here is of course – millions of unborn women have been somewhat less than “helped” by Planned Parenthood, in addition to an unknown number of women involved in the sex trafficking trade. In any event, one of America’s most unabashedly corrupt and evil organizations has lost some of its funding, which is cause for at least some rejoicing.

Wonderful news.  I haven't donated to Susan G. Komen because of the relationship, but I felt guilty about it because they one of the largest Breast Cancer research organizations. Now I can donate guilt free

Good riddance.  The sooner Planned Parenthood and the Democratic Party are out of taxpayers pockets, the better.

Good. I don't give money to Komen for two reasons (was three but now...)

1. Heart disease kills more women
2. They spent donor money suing other non-profits over the phrase 'for the cure'.

Once again, the left uses the excuse that someone "caved to the religious right" in order to cover their own fascist reaction and the huge political and PR pressure they immediately place on any organization that breaks with their Sacred Cows -Planned Parenthood and abortion.  The secular theocracy in this country is amazing.

The official line is that Planned Parenthood does manual breast cancer screenings and refers women to clinics for mammograms.  Somehow, it is more important to the left and the media to see PP get that money instead of seeing Komen pay for mammograms at the clinics performing them.  Altogether, just another excuse to continue to support the bloodbath.  After all, PP is able to buy off quite a large number of politicians between their huge income and their media/PR clout.
