What's on your iPod?
« on: May 07, 2008, 09:48:02 AM »
While I've had a MP3 player for a number of years, its only since my retirement that I've had the opportunity to really play with it.  So, I was adding some songs to it and thought, "gosh, I've got a lot of stuff by xxx".  So I thought it would be an interesting question as to who/what do you have on yours -- either the most or the most liked or whatever criteria you'd like to use.

Mine:

1.  Paul Harvey - "The Rest of the Story"
2.  Rush podcasts
3.  Reba (love Reba)
4.  Brother Dave Gardner

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Gigabytes

I knew that, but I have to appear feeble.  It makes some here very happy.

I have about 30 GB of music...all rock.
And a picture of Sasha Grey.

What kind of rock?  Primarily 60's, 70's, ...?  I've got a lot of 60s rock on mine, as well as some Christian rock.  BTW, is this the person your referring to?   :-)

Lots of old rock and a bunch of dying animal sounds that I use for hunting coyotes.  For the latter I attach a mini-amp to some bullhorn speakers and it works wonders.  Ol' Wiley cannot tell the difference and runs in looking for a free meal and instead gets 40 grains of copper and lead traveling at ultra high velocity.   :-)

Oh Heavens, a little bit of everything. Mine is also my phone (or I guess my phone is also my MP3 player)...I have a W580i. In addition to some pics of my son I took the last time he was home on leave, my new baby ducks and geese and some pictures of spring here on the farm to text to my homesick son, my OperaMini browser, and fitness log...I have tons of music.

The artists I have the MOST of:

Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Atreyu, Better Than Ezra, Black Sabbath, Cheap Trick, Cyndi Lauper (Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun is my wake-up alarm), Depeche Mode, Elton John, Elvis Costello, ELVIS, Fall Out Boy, Guns N' Roses, Joe Jackson, Megadeth, New York Dolls, Nick Lowe, Nickelback, Nirvana, Pat Benatar, Pink Floyd, Queen, Rob Zombie, Rolling Stones, Shinedown, Spoon, Switchfoot, The B-52's, The Clash, The Cure, Lovin' Spoonful, The Pipettes, Police, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, Tom Petty, Van Halen, 30 Seconds to Mars, and a whole bunch of miscellaneous songs from BB King to Traveling Wilbury's to ZZ Top.

I'd be lost without it. I haven't tried downloading any podcasts yet.

I don't have an iPod but I do have a Sandisk Sansa with 4 gigs of classic rock. Roger Daltry talked me into the Legends of Rock collection one night.  :rotf:

I have a Zune with mostly country, southern rock, 80's pop, etc. (with a few Top 40 songs here and there.... :innocent:  ) taking up about 10 GB of it.

But with the docking station and sync cable missing, I can't do anything with it right now.  :bawl:   :banghead:

Well, that's probably good since we've now been informed that only "pussies" have iPods.  So you must be a macho kind of guy!  :lmao:  Sorry to be insensitive.

I have a Sansa Clip and I just LOVE it.  If I had to list all the different artists I have on mine, my fingers would fall off.  We should do one of those quizzes where you put your mp3 on shuffle and use the songs to answer the different questions.  Those are hilarious.

A great and under appreciated band. "Deluxe" is one of my favourites.

Yeah "Deluxe" is excellent. I think "After the Robots" is probably my favorite right now. Don't come across too many people who've even heard of them.

mostly old 60s, 70s, 80s rock, but there is some Hannah Montana, The Brady Bunch ("It's a Sunshine Day") and some Partridge Family tunes that my 8 year old thinks are 'so groovy' ..

is that word coming back?  :thatsright:

2200 songs.  Mostly rock and older stuff like Rush, Pink Floyd, but lots of stuff I've just picked up over the years.

Yes, even some rap, country, and classical.  About the only thing I don't have on it is Lawrence Welk.
