Here's the difference between the kind of dis-respectful kinds of things you (and I) would not do and "respect." We need to be very clear about what the word respect should actually mean.

If I walked up to BushObama and said, "Mr. President, I believe you are quite possibly the worst president this country has ever had. I believe you to be staggeringly incompotent at your job, shamefully ignorant about politics, international relations and a host of other subjects. You have also repeatedly shown yourself to be arrogant and smug with a disdain for your public, the press, other world leaders. You have set America back dedades with a mind-bogglingly ignorant and olicarchic agenda designed to benefit you and your rich white friends at the expense of everyone else. Last night Wisconsin's Governor Walker gave the state of the state speech.  Some hippies found a way in and were thrown out for interrupting the speech by screeching "liar" and "recall Walker" and the like.  I haven't heard any outcry from the media or demands for an apology to Governor Walker like when Congressman Joe Wilson told Sir Golfsalot "you lie."  I'm not holding my breath.
