Anti-Obama threads started by moles?

As a self-proclaimed professional lurker, Ive found that some people on 'sites that shall not be named' are bragging that they have established DU accounts and are using them to diminish enthusiasm for Obama. Now, Im not saying the POTUS is above criticism or that any post on that topic is from an interloper; however we need to cautious as promoting a boycott of the election or saying we should vote 3rd party as a protest is admittedly a tactic that these moles use here.

Just a heads up. Best of luck to the MIR(T) Team

This is a big campfire.  It starts off, and goes for three-quarters of the way where the primitives talk about moles from.....oldelmtree, as if there aren't hundreds of moles from other sites on Skins's island.

Finally, way down as one scrolls, Old Reliable brings up something:

34. You mean Conservative Cave. Those people don't have the social skills to even HAVE a .......

...... political position. They just come here to fit in. They're more likely to come off as a huge supporter than a detractor.

But nice try.

Hi Jukin

Hi Skul

Uh huh.  That's the way it works.  We blend in, don't stick out.

Trolls stick out, as they intend to.  Moles blend in, as we intend to.

38. LOL!

"They're more likely to come off as a huge supporter than a detractor."

Really?

Quote
Stinky The Clown (44,676 posts) Profile Journal Send DU Mail Ignore

41. Yeah. Really

That post was by a low post count troll.

Moles are long term, quiet, and try to fit in. A troll is like a kamikaze. lots of noise and a big splash. The whole point of a mole, on the other hand, is to fit in. Moles are like zombies or sock puppets. Trolls are different. The OP was speaking about trolls. Hence, i stand by what I said.

I know. I'm guessing you were pretending to roll on the floor laughing at me because you thought I was somehow making light of anti Obama stuff. You were wrong in that assumption. I was talking about moles and trolls.

Quote
Bobbie Jo (6,151 posts) Profile Journal Send DU Mail Ignore

42. Actually...

I was rolling on the floor laughing at your characterization of a "mole," because the example I posted certainly looked like an attempt to "fit in" here. Did it not?

You made no such mole/troll comparison in your post, so I'm not clear on the point you're trying to make here after the fact.

Perhaps you have an example of the type of "mole" you describe as appearing to be a huge supporter? Frankly, this theory doesn't make much sense.

It's not a "theory."  It's reality.  And it makes perfect sense.

Quote
Stinky The Clown (44,676 posts) Profile Journal Send DU Mail Ignore

43. It makes perfect sense. One need only stop and think.

If someone is bent on "fitting in" one becomes hard or impossible to notice. So your request is impossible to fill.

Have a swell day, Bobbie Jo.

Even the old dude agrees with franksolich; it makes perfect sense.

Quote
Bobbie Jo (6,151 posts) Profile Journal Send DU Mail Ignore

45. Except

The example I gave actually does show an attempt to fit in. Surely you have evidence of some kind to illustrate your theory?

You have a peachy day as well, Stinky.

Quote
Stinky The Clown (44,676 posts) Profile Journal Send DU Mail Ignore

54. Let me ask you something if I may.

Why did you reply to my comment? It wasn't directed at you. It acknowledges that moles exist. It mentions by name that "site that can't be named" which is a major source of such antics. It points out that a person interested in being a mole, as opposed to a troll, which is a disruptor, is more likely to try to fit in in such a way as to be unnoticed. Concern trolls, which is what the OP was talking about, are easy to spot and fool no one.

Moles would avoid such behavior if they wished to stay.

In saying moles are more apt to be seen as strong supporters of Democratic values and Democratic electees, it can not, and should be extrapolated to mean I am saying all supporters are moles. That's a broken logic, much like saying Pinocchio has a long nose, an elephant has a long nose, therefore Pinocchio is an elephant.

So, back to my question. Why did you choose to reply to me?

Quote
Bobbie Jo (6,151 posts) Profile Journal Send DU Mail Ignore

55. Because I thought your assertion was ridiculous.

Truth is, moles can survive just fine in this environment with the stance shown in the example.

Beyond mere "survival," (which we have already established can be maintained as a detractor) what strategic benefit would there be to be seen as a supporter? What a complete waste of time.

btw...do you have a particular problem with me responding to any of your posts?

Only the tone and implications.

We've spoken before.

I don't mole there but I would think the good moles are the ones who are pro-Obama, pro-Democrat, they would never give themselves away by going against the grain.

Oh yeah.

And don't forget one has to be anti-life too; my mole's big on being enthusiastic about abortion.

That's right, smelly clown -

The moles do fit in - and many have been working carefully to slowly push the Democratic agenda straight into what the world recognizes as Communism. I credit the recognition of 'Occupy' by many Democratic websites as the result of that work. If Occupy existed during the Clinton Administration, he would have nuked at least a half dozen of the camps from space to divert from his dalliances. Also, the best moles don't just 'show up' at DU - they get 'street cred' by leaving months worth of breadcrumbs for your snoops to find at other sites - a couple letters to the editor, registrations at other Democratic websites using the same moniker, and other 'items' that anyone can easily find, digest, and accept..

A great resource is Photobucket - Make an account, and fill it with a few photographs of the town your mole claims to be from, and stick a few pictures important to liberals in there, and wait for Nadin or another one of your sooper-sleuths to Google it, and you have an instant 'get out of jail free card'..

- 'They Can't be a mole, I mean, they have posted at KOS for the last few years, and wrote a letter to the editor in support of Barack Obama during his 2008 campaign' -- Lulz...

You see, Mr Balloon pants - unlike the belief many of us have helped cultivate, we aren't all 'morans' - I'm 'series' !!11! Anyway,  by helping all of you paint a picture that all Republicans are slack-jawed yokels, or Mr. Moneybags from the game Monopoly, moles slip right in unnoticed.

Or, at least I have heard it said, as I will still neither confirm nor deny I have ever moled DU, DU2 or the newest and fanciest DU3. Happy hunting, MIRT team !!!

Not only do we fit in sometimes we push the hive over the edge demonstrating their true vile inner feelings. IMHO, that is what a good mole does. Making the DUches paranoid is just icing.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

One time--I'm not saying how long ago, or the circumstances, lest I imperil myself--my mole whipped the primitives up into a real abortion-loving, infant-hating, hysteria and orgasm that was a sight to see.

It exceeded my wildest hopes; it was as if franksolich's mole was a superdildo with undepletable batteries, applied here, applied there, causing multiple twitches and ecstatic moans from several anti-life primitives all at the same time.

Primitives in orgasm are not a pretty sight; they are however a hilarious sight.
