Janice--I've seen her at our old home
Chuck J--I've seen him log on and come in and read late at night, in the wee hours of the morning; he's been dealing with a lot of things in real life, and one hopes it's going well for him; a great guy
Soliel
AllosaursRus--Another one who's been dealing with a whole platter of things in real life
ASDF--I assume really busy in real life
bkg (I don't know this one)--He sent me some personal messages about six weeks ago but I think he finds other boards more amenable to his tastes; nothing negative, just a matter of taste
djones520--One of the powers at our old home now, and by the way his wife is expecting a second infant soon
Golem
jendf
megimoo--Actually has been here more often than one might suspect. I dunno what's up, but he uses our "spellchecker" before posting things not here, but at our old home; I think it's funny
PatriotGame--I dunno what's up with him, but I wish I did
ReardenSteel
true_blood--Quit possibly a "burn-out" trying to recharge his batteries; for months and months, he was the most prolific poster here, the highest daily average
VivisMom--She has a history of hanging around a lot, and then not, and then hanging around a lot again, and then not; I assume it's because she has small children
Some of these I know and some I don't but those are folks I recognize the name if only slightly.
With this being an election year, it's reasonable to count on many of these resurfacing again, and we'll be happy to see them. As a member here, I've had correspondence with most of them in the past, and can't recall anyone ever writing me that they're upset or pissed off, nearly all the time that they've been, or are, busy in real life.
debk is another example; getting adjusted to a new job, odd working hours.
I wish lastparker would show up and tell us what she's been up to.
I've been hanging around message boards since 1996; I have no way of proving it, but it seems to me that conservativecave, out of all of them, has probably the highest retention rate; a pretty damned high retention at any rate.
Again, remember that 2011 was an "off year;" with elections coming this year, we'll probably see most of these members again.
