So Today She Told Me She Now Has A Lawyer...
 and we talked about it some...

she said her lawyer told her that since we'd been separated in the eyes of the law in our state for 18 months at least, that unless either of us contests anything, it won't have to go to court.

(divorce)

Who lives in a city 2 hours away. However, she practices here sometimes too.
So she will get me the contact information for my attorney since this is not the one she was going to hire.

Joint custody... looking more promising... have to iron out the details of our agreement on this.

Property... whatever...I just am not very concerned about it right now.

Finances...will work that out over the next few months.

Theoretically this could all be over by the end of summer.

I wish I could say this felt "good", it feels sad, and it is what it is.

We both agree it is time to move it along and get things finished though.

Just thought I'd share that with y'all.



I'm not celebrating, rather sad about this, and some other things. It's all kind of hitting me at once.

44718? Sounds like an Ohio zip code. I've been on FR a year longer than the primitive has been on DU and my post count is 12654.

The first step to recovery is recognizing you have a problem. SPL has not made that step. Sad but true.

The time I was active on boards, I think 5 a day was my high average.   

50 a day means you need to get out and see the sunshine.

I've been posting at CU for one month over 4 years. I'm just now reaching 12,000 posts and I feel that I post too much sometimes.

50 a day is nuts!  If it took you on average 5 minutes to type each post, that's 250 minutes.  And most people take more time reading than they do writing by at least 2 to 1.  That would be a total of 750 minutes a day, or 12.5 hours!!

I'm surprised he knows he's married, much less getting a divorce.
