Was it the despicable liberal media elites who protected Bush?
Just curious where the despicable liberal media elites were when Bush's Texas ANG, or his cocaine use, or his DUIs, were being buried. Who buried them if the media is all elite liberals? And who pushed the John Kerry swift boat story? Do we even need to mention Bill Clinton?

Those elite media liberals sure are crafty...they always seem to protect the GOP and attack liberals. BRILLIANT!

Well, Pedro, they tried. They pushed the allegations against President Bush in every way they could, including their bellwether propaganda vehicle, "60 Minutes".

Problem is, as time went on, it became obvious to normal people that the allegations were false, and the results were two election victories for W, and the Great Bush Prosperity that most normal people enjoyed for eight years.

Conversely, the media tried their best to discredit the Swiftboat heroes in every way possible. They were slandered and smeared continuously for two or three months.

Problem is, as time went on, it became obvious to normal people that the Swiftboat allegations were true, that John F'n had lied non-stop about his military record, had probably concealed a dishonorable discharge, and was guilty of behavior that at least bordered on treason.

Poor Pedro! Too stupid to understand what became obvious to people of normal intelligence.

Damn, Toast, Dan Rather and his producer got fired for doing a story based on fabricated documents from one dude using a fax at a Kinkos. Try to keep up.
The DUI almost cost him the election (along with all the news outlets calling Florida for Gore before the voting was completed in the whole state).
And I don't know anything about Bush's cocaine use but Stinky's rapist hero was said (by his own brother) to have a nose like a vacuum cleaner when it came to that stuff.

Bush probably used Cocaine... who didn't back then.  But I think they made it sound worse than it was, if it ever happened at all.

I will tell you this.  I am from the deep south, and my parents had very close friends that were invited to many of Governor Clinton's parties in Arkansas.  They have first hand knowledge of him snorting white powder.  What the what power was, they don't know.  Could have been Sweet'N Low I guess.
