How does Obama look in Georgia?

Obama lost Georgia to McCain by only 5.21% despite winning nationally by 7.26%. Does Obama have any chance of narrowing that margin in 2012, perhaps enough to force the Republican nominee to spend time and money in the state? Is there a Republican nominee that would make the state tougher or easier for Obama, like Gingrich since it is his former home state? A win in Georgia would help solidify his mandate.

I would sure love for Obama to pick up a few previously red states. Georgia had the third lowest winning margin for McCain after Missouri and Montana. Missouri seems to be on its way to being a reliably red state. Montana, however, seems like it could be a pick-up for Obama since he only lost it by 2% or so. I think Arizona is another likely pick-up this year. Can Georgia be flipped this year as well?

We'll see.

2. If Mitt Romney is the GOP nominee and some Georgia Republicans decide not to vote

because they don't like Romney, I could see Obama possibly winning Georgia. It would depend on who Mitt Romney picks as his running mate. If it's a Sarah Palin type then probably not.

So it would warm my cold cold heart to see Georgia go for Obama...oh please oh please oh please!!
And hopefully West Virginia too!

4. Depends on whether he makes it on the ballot or not...

5. Like everywhere else, the Obama luster is off a little bit, so

Dem turnout probably won't be as high as 08. On the other hand, the Repubs don't seem to be too excited about anyone either.

If Dems and Repubs not showing up cancel each other out, it's the independents not showing up who will make the difference, and I think that will hurt Obama a little more than the Repub.

I would say Obama loses by a little more than he lost last time.

7. No Effing chance

here in Gwinnett county and I can tell you no chance. I have lived here 30 years and it gets more republican every year.

I am going to Denver for a month to see it. i am trying to relocate to a real city. It is so boring here.

Why does Obama deserve to be re-elected?

They never do ask that question, do they?

They never seem to ask why America should renew the contract of a chief executive who's policies have reduced productivity and revenues while drastically increasing total debt and liabilities. A chief executive who is intractable in his demand to get his way and refuses to listen to the stockholders.

The only way the jug-eared muslim can carry any 2008 red state is if enough far right repukes refuse to vote.

He can't expect to switch any votes from people who voted for McCain.

The question is whether any blue state will flip to red.

My thoughts exactly.  The question is, primitives, which states can he manage to hang on to?

Pigs will fly before West Virginia votes for the "Magic Negro".  He didn't carry WV in 2008, and with his ramped-up, anti-coal rhetoric, he sure as HELL won't in 2012.

Kurmudgeon seem to have forgotten that WV is the "former" home of Robert "KKK" Byrd.

OH BOY!  The first Tuesday in November is going to be soooooo much fun!
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Wednesday, sir, wednesday.
The election is wednesday. Didn't you get the memo?
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Why does Obama deserve to be re-elected?

So he can finish learning the game of golf.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

So he can finish learning the game of golf.

If he hasn't learned it now after 90 rounds of it, maybe he should take up something less demanding, like RETIREMENT!   :II:

Virginia, Indiana and North Carolina should be considered red states that had a one-time lapse in judgement.  Those three will be back in the fold.

For a total this year of 93. Not quite enough to put the GOP over the top if 0bama holds serve in all other blue 2008 states

The question is whether any blue state will flip to red.

At this point I'd venture to say that NC will flip back.  Dear Leader will carry Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill mainly, Charlotte barely, and Greensboro maybe, but that'll be it.  I dont care if the DNC convention is here, he is not liked.

Oh wait, these others are possibly in play:

Colorado
Florida
Michigan
New Mexico
Nevada
Ohio

83 more electoral votes.
